Sunflower House - Framed

Yesterday we went out for shopping, as my husband told me that he found a big craft shop where there is also a frame shop, when he went to a customer near there.
He was day off yesterday so I asked him to take me there! I was so thrilled to visit there!!

We were going to order a frame for "Sunflower House" (BBD Loose Feathers #09), but I found reasonable one!
There were so many frames and we were irresolute between gold and wooden frames, which is the best for "Sunflower House".
Then in the end we decided to choose dark brown wooden frame! Here it is!

How is this? I'm quite satisfied how this turned out, I think it's beautiful in this frame!
I hope you like this as well as I do!

Here is the close up photo of the frame.

After we shopped at a craft shop, we went to big shopping mall near by and we met an Olympic medalist (Athens : Gold, Beijing : Silver) of JUDO at Starbucks!
She was with her friend who is also the world games champion, as they sat near by, my husband asked them to take a photo with our little son stealthily.
My son was a bit shy, but they were so nice and they had big smile in the photo!
This would be a great memory for my son, as he loves to watch sports games on TV.

Anyway, thank you so much again for get well soon wishes.
Today I felt better than a past few weeks, although yet no stitching...
On Thursday I have an appointment with a dentist, so I hope I can stitch as soon as possible!
Hopefully I can stitch at least few lines tomorrow!

Take care everyone, and Happy Stitching!

Miserable Month...

Thank you so much for lovely comments and I'd really appreciate for get well soon wishes from you all.
And thank friends for your e-mails caring about me as I wasn't be able to post here for a week...

Actually I still haven't been doing well, I have been visiting dentist but still have been suffering from a bit of toothache and terrible stiff neck because of cavity.
My dentist suggested me that he doesn't pull my bad teeth out at the moment because I'm still young, but if there was no way to treat as it's too bad, then he will pull it out.
I agreed with his opinion and so I have to keep visiting him to be treated for a while...

I also have been suffering from a bit of headache, maybe cause of terrible stiff neck.
And yet another miserable accident was happened yesterday morning when my son asked me to pass him a piece of tissue just after I woke up, I have gotten a crick in my neck when I took tissue box as I was lying down...

All these pains make me feeling very miserable... lol
What a terrible month! Whew...
I have so many things to do, have to struggle to make friends' Birthday presents, birth samplers, exchange pieces, etc... though!
I do really hope that I can stitch as soon as I can!

By the way, these photos are homemade donuts that I made for my son.
It rarely happens that I make sweets, so I took photos of it, lol

My son and I were hungry, but there was no sweets in stock, so I made it, but it was very yum against my expectation!
As my husband was also liked it so much, I will make some again!

Well, I hope I can post photos something about cross stitch soon!

Take care and until then, Happy Stitching!

Sunflower House - Finished!

Thank you so much for get well soon wishes, I'm glad that you care about me.
I have to visit the dentist tomorrow, and probably he will pull my bad teeth out...

Anyway, finally I finished "Sunflower House" © Blackbird Designs - Loose Feathers #09, last night!
I'm so happy that I could finish it before the end of this month!
Here are some photos to share...

I added the year 2008 and my initials.
I love how this turned out so much, I think this design is very beautiful, don't you think?

This is the first time for me to complete the design by Blackbird Designs, and I realized how fun to stitch their designs is!
As I have many designs of Blackbird Designs which is kitted up, I really want to stitch their designs so much now, although I have so many WIPs!
I was going to be patient to start new design until I finish my WIPs, but I remembered the word "Do whatever you like when you want to do" which is from my friend and so I may pick and start one !
I will decide what I stitch next from my BBD stash file!

I heard that Wendy also will finish this piece soon, so I'm looking forward to seeing her completed piece!! It must be very beautiful, indeed!

Until I post next time, take care and happy stitching!

The end of summer...

Hi, everyone! Thank you so much for lovely comments and get well wishes!
I'd appreciate for them all, I always love to read all the comments!

As for my toothache, thanks to the medicine that the dentist gave me, it is getting better now!
But as I still have been suffering from stiff neck, I haven't been stitching at all, more than 2 weeks doing nothing is the first time for me, since I have started stitching!
Instead of doing nothing, I have been watching Olympic games everyday, and have been playing with my son a lot!

I hope the dentist will be able to fix my bad tooth next week when I visit him...
I want to do stitch soon!!!

By the way, today is the anniversary of the end of the war.
This song from Naotaro Moriyama is an antiwar song... ("Natsu no Owari" = The end of summer)

"Natsu no Owari" by Naotaro Moriyama

In the lyrics the word "war" isn't used at all, but this song is about a girl has been keep waiting for a boyfriend to come back from the war.
I think this is very beautiful song.

Take care everyone,

Happy stitching!

Nightmare Sampler

As I wrote in the last post, I have been suffering from terrible stiff neck, but I found its origin, I think it's cavity!!
From last night I have been suffering from toothache and I found that my left cheek is swollen this morning!
So I made an appointment with the dentist for today... ('~';)
I have to go to see a doctor later I finished writing this post... sigh and I'm scared...
Anyway, I hope that I will be able to be set free from terrible stiff neck, so I can finally stitch!

By the way, as I promised, here are some stitching progress photos to share.

This is "Birds Sampler" © Brenda Keyes (from book : Traditional Samplers) which I call as "Nightmare Sampler" (lol).
Why this is nightmare, is whenever I try to stitch this sampler, Big FLOG comes to me, I don't know how many times I frogged... almost every parts I frogged I think...

Anyway, I'm stitching this sampler as SAL with Japanese friends!
Everyone has been stitching on different counts, different linens, and some are using silk threads, etc... it's fun to compare and see what they are like.
I hope no more FROG come to me when I stitch this sampler!

And here is "Sunflower House" progress!
It's nearly ready to finish!! Woo hoo!
I just need to stitch borders, then it will complete!
This is looking very summer-like and so cheerful isn't it!?
I love this, my husband also likes this very much, so we are going to take this to framer!

Here is a photo of my little son in policeman's uniform!
He is cute, isn't he! We went to a small event of Japanese police for children.
He is crazy for cars, so he was so excited to see police cars in person!

(Edited / *Removed a photo 19/08/08)

Funny but, he posed like a policeman in the photo.
This photo makes me so happy and smile always when I look at!

By the way, I bought a new mobile phone recently, it's a new model and I chose PINK one!
It illuminates the surface of this mobile when I've got a mail or phone call, and also when I closed the phone, it also illuminates with blue heart motifs!

But actually I haven't been able to manage this phone at all, I was quite good at mechanics when I was young, but recently I feel keenly what I'm getting old and old, I don't know how to use it (lol)
I need to read a fat manual...

Oh I must go! Have to prepare for going out to the dentist...

Happy stitching!
