Exchange FOR Domy

How are you, everyone? I'm doing fine, thanks to you!
In Japan, recently the weather is very strange, sometimes the temperature became very high, it's like middle of June, but it's chilly today...

By the way, I post and share some photos what I've made for Domy for our private exchange this time, as I promised!

I know Domy loves tea very much and she always describe herself as a "Teapot", so first of all, I wanted to stitch this "Official Tea Lover" for her! (right one)
And secondarily, I also wanted to stitch this word "Friendship begins with Kindness" (left one) for her, as I thought that this word signify of us!

Actually it was the first time and it's rare for me to choose and stitch ©Lizzie*Kate's designs, but this time I really wanted to stitch them for her.
I like ©Lizzie*Kate's words, but I found that it's a bit difficult to stitch its designs for me...

This time I made Hornbook (-like) and a small tray with ©Lizzie*Kate designs for her.

Here is a close up photo of Hornbook (-like), I added blue frill around the edge.
The frill trim which I used is an elastic one, so it was quite easy to add to curvy corner, as well.

And here is a close up photo of the tray.
Actually in the original design, there are two tea cups and the frame in there, but I omitted them to balance the design.

I added a bit slender lace on both top and the bottom of the tray to make an accent.

I've got a lovely e-mail from Domy that she loved everything that I've sent for her!
I was so happy to heard of it from her, as I was a bit worried if she doesn't like American designs... But she loved the word "Friendship begins with Kindness", too!
Our friendship has just started with a little kindness, so this word was perfect for our friendship!

It was very nice exchange as usual!
Thanks Domy!

Easter Present FROM Claudia

Just a day before Easter, I've received a wonderful gift from Claudia!
She told me that she has sent something special for me, but it really has reached me very soon, so
made me very surprised!

One of the wonderful gift from her is THIS!

I was looking at them on her blog as thinking they are SO beautiful and cute.
Like she red my mind, she has chosen this for me and sent me for the Easter!
What a beautiful thing this is! I'm so touched by her sweet heart!
Now it's hanging on my favourite tree like the photo!
As it's so lovely and I'm loving it so much, I don't want to store it away, I will keep hanging it whole year on this tree in our living room! (and there is almost no particular Easter events in Japan, except Christians) :D

She also sent me two beautiful thread keepers!! What beautiful thread keepers!!
They are the first thread keepers for me, and I really wanted to buy them, I'm so happy to have them with me now! Thank you so much, Claudia!

This time, she sent me to share SILK threads and 40ct linen for the Hornbook which she has sent me for the last Christmas.
We are planning to do private SAL for the Hornbook, so she shared them with me...
She is kind and so sweet heart enough, don't you think?
She also sent me many Easter chocolates!! They all has gone, already, lol
Molto grazie, mia amica Claudia!
Lei è il meglio!!

"Lovebird" - Hornbook

I was working on the freebie "Lovebird" by Midsummer Night Designs these few days, and finally have finished to stitch it last night!
I was thinking how to finish this all the time, it was a bit big to be a Pinkeep or Pincushion, so I was thinking to make another basket lid.

But I realised that I had some wooden boards like Hornbook in my stash, and the size was just for this design!
So I decided to make Hornbook with this stitch!

I trimmed stitched piece with light pink pom-pom trim, and I think it made this a good accent.
I like pom-pom trim very much, it's so useful to hide messy parts, lol

By the way, this is a very lovely design, isn't it?
I thought this would be a perfect gift for Valentine!
So I told to my husband to give this to him, but as I expected he seemed very confused and said... "uhmmm, I'm sorry but, no thanks... I can't do anything with this... You can display at your stitching place! But thanks anyway..." LOL
See, I can't share my passion with a snowboarder, lol
I just teased him, I guaranteed that he would say so!

By the way, the wooden board that I used this time as Hornbook is like them on the left photo.
I don't know what they are, or what to do with them actually, but they were sold as "Message Board" or "Craft Borad", but I thought if they could be Hornbooks?
So I have bought them and stocked in my closet.

I think they are a bit big as a Hornbook or thread holder, if I compare to lovely Hornbook which Claudia gave me before.
But I think it's OK to use them like this time...
I'm quite satisfied this result, anyway! :D

Next time I would like to make thread holder with this wooden boards!

By the way, recently I can't use "Spell Check" system when I post the article, somehow...
I wish there were "Grammer Check" system, as well, it would very helpfull for non English speaker! lol

(I changed the thread colour #794 ---> #932)

Wonderful Present FROM Claudia

It has been a long time since I've got wonderful presents from Claudia for Christmas...

Here they are! One day, a postman rung the door bell to let me know that there is a big parcel to me which can't fit in the letter box!
So I went outside to receive it, it was REAL big parcel from Italy, yes from Claudia!!! :D
I was so excited, my heart had began to beat so fast, as thinking what's in there!?

Once I opened her parcel, I was so surprised that there were so many goodies in there!
Everything was beautifully packaged by shinny bags and ribbons (like upper left photo above)!
There were so many Italian (European?) cosmetics (so nice scents!), Chocolate flower, Soap message card, Potpourri, lovely bracelet (lower right photo, can you see my name on it?)!!

There were more and more!
Look at this beautiful Hornbook!!!!!
This is my first Hornbook! I had been wanting to have my own Hornbook, but have never had a chance to have one, but she presented me, this wonderful designed Hornbook and the chart for it!
Ohhhh, I have been still excited by this, when I saw this I was speechless!
I heard that she has the same one, so we can make the same Hornbook!!! It so meant to me to have the same one with dear friends, it makes me feel like I'm with them!
So definitely I will try to start this Hornbook as soon as possible, as thinking of her, and will treasure it forever!

You'll be surprised, but there were more presents in the bag!!!
The newest chart from Passione Ricamo, and Italian chart book (like JCS ornament issue), and another lovely chart!

I love them all, they are so pretty!
