Private Exchange FOR Nina

Finally I could manage stitching and finishing Nina's Exchange, whew...

We had been talking about our private exchange since the last year, and she sent me wonderful exchange in April, but I couldn't make anything nice, I have never failed such many times before, then took time until send it out recently...

As you know, Nina is so talented and I've received wonderful works of hers first, so I was very hesitating to stitch and make something for her... you know what I mean?!
I was going to stitch sewing case by Lavender Lace, but there were so many specialty stitches, and also one over one, and I failed so many times, so I gave up!

Next time, I decided to stitch and make sewing sets by French designers, but the almost whole stitches were one over one, and I gave up again, as I can't do it...
Then decided to make this tin designed by LHN for her, but you know, again I made careless mistake on it, and so I decided to stitch one more piece...
I have never failed so many times like this time before!!
There must be BIG frog still on my shoulders!!

So here are two tins for her and for myself because I decided to complete mistaken one for myself.
I know Nina likes pink, but the design is based on light blue, so I added light blue flowery ribbon around the stitched pieces, and added pearl beads on four corners.
I also made a fob and pincushion for her.

Uhmmmm, it was too much, too fussy?
I was a bit worried about this, but I received a sweet mail from her, and she told me that she loves everything, so I'm so happy and feel relief now!

Here is mine, I will post how I failed and made mistake on hers and mine, though I added small ribbon charm on the mistaken spot to hide it.

This exchange had also another highlight, we exchanged our countries spices!
Her fiancee Tamas wants to try Japanese spices, so I sent her many of spices of our country and also instant miso soup, etc...!
I hope Tamas and Nina will love them!!

Thank you so much Nina for this lovely exchange!!

Here is a Strawberry Diary, we (actually sweetie) picked 5 pieces of strawberries this time!
This photo was taken on 5th of June, now strawberries are taking nap (lol), there seem not so many left to grow up...

"SWAP" FOR Bogi

Today I received a lovely e-mail from Bogi in Hungary that she received a parcel for SWAP safely from Japan!

Since Bogi became my SWAP partner, I checked her blog so many times, and found that she loves CHS and LHN.
I was going to make elegant type ornament for her, but changed my mind as I found her taste!

As I was unwell for a long time, there was not so much time to stitch, then I realized that there is a WIP of CHS's "SOHRH" (block 11) in my WIP box.
So I decided to continute to stitch this design for her!
I was thinking how to finish, though I got a good idea in my mind that to make TIN with this design!

I stitched this on 40ct Wichelt (Sandstone / Tea) with DMC, it was so fun to stitch for her!
I added ric rac tape around the stitched piece, also buttons for four corners!
And added laces around the TIN like this (above).

I used gingham checked (blue x white) fabric for the base and inside of the TIN, and other than that I used like denim fabric.

Here is the close up photo!
I loved this block, because there is whale and so lovely, but coincidence this block's first alphabet is "B" is for Bogi! :D

I really liked how it turned out, so I prepared for another one for myself.
The rest that I have to do is stitch again and cover the TIN lid.
Which block shall I stitch for the next one?!
I hope I will be able to stitch this as soon as I can to organize my stitching stuffs inside!

I'm so happy to hear that Bogi loved everything that I sent her!
It was so pleasure to stitch and finish this for you, Bogi!
Take care and thanks for visiting!
And thank you so much for so many nice comments for "SAKURA" and "My First Easter Stitch"!

I also received beautiful and wonderful parcel from Nina in Hungary!!
I have lots to share with you!

Until then, Happy Stitching!!

Happy Birthday Dear My Friend!!

Today is my dear friend's Birthday, It's Su! and I've got an e-mail from her that my parcel has safely arrived to her, so I post some photos what I've made and sent for her here, to share you all!
Actually since it has arrived too earlier to her, she had to be really patient to open it till her Birthday, today! You had been a good girl !!! LOL

By the way, this time I made her Tin-Can and some sewing stuff from "Sampler Girls" © M Designs.

Actually this is from the same chart from my dearest friend Nanami presented me.
There are two designs in one chart, so I stitched a small one for her!

I added woolly lace around the tin-top, and inside bottom and the around the tin-can, I used black x beige checked fabbie, inside around I used lacy fabbie which I really like!!

I also made and added some stuff, Pincushion, Tape measure, and scissor fob from the same design.
Pincushion that I made is actually too big, it's like mini-pillow, (lol) I added wooden beads and inside it I added lavender, so it smells really nice.
I hope she likes lavender scent!

And tape measure, I added open heart charm for the pull tab, it's lovely isn't it?!
It's "cm" and "meter" measure, I don't know which is used in the UK, if you use "inch" or "feet", sorry about that! (lol)

As for the scissor fob, I made it from two buttons, actually.
I added small tassel for it! It's quite small and lovely, so I definitely will make one for myself as well!
Actually I love them all what I've made for her (LOL), so when I have time, I will definitely make the same set for myself!!
But as for the pincushion (pin-pillow), I will make more smaller than this one I sent her, LOL!

Well, I'm so happy to hear that she love them all which I've made for her Birthday!
She sent me soooooo sweet e-mail, so it also made my day!
Thank you, dear my friend!

Let's stay friends and keep in touch!

"HAVE A HAPPY BIRTHDAY!"
