Ewe & Eye & Friends "Tulip Scissors Companion" - Pinkeep

Hi, it's the end of September, but I just heard chirrup of cicada...
Beetle was living till a day before yesterday, Isn't it strange? It's still hot here today.

Today I show you my latest work that I sent to my friends!
It's been so long time since the last time I made pinkeep, so I realised that I was forgetting how to make pinkeep when I was working on it...

虫は苦手なので、外へ逃がすのに悪戦苦闘でした >_<;;

Here they are, my latest pinkeep(s), "Tulip Scissors Companion" © Ewe & Eye & Friends.
I have received same pinkeep from dear Angela before, and she stitched this design on pink linen, and it was so lovely, so I decided to stitch this on pink fabric, too!

iStitch "Sew Buttons" AND WIPs

Hi everyone, thank you so much for your Birthday Wishes!!
I appreciate for your lovely words!

Now I'm in stitching mood, and am working on many of projects at the same time!
It rarely happens, so am very happy in these few days.
I shouldn't do over work, though!

Here is my latest finish, "Sew Buttons" © iStitch (Carol R.'s design).
When I saw this design on Carol's blog, I fell in love and can you believe?
She presented me this chart as a birthday gift!
Thank you so much Carol for your lovely heart always.

Isn't this beautiful?
I have to add tiny buttons later, and will finish this maybe into a bag!

I stitched rose and butterflies three times, because I didn't like my choice of colour for them.
And finally found this perfect colour (DMC #152) in the end and I love this so much!
I'm now exciting to think about how to make a bag!
Thanks again, Carol.

Petite Exepmlary No.1 by EEF

While my dear friend Nancy had been preparing a wonderful gift for me, I was stitching this "Petite Exemplary No.1" for her at the same time to surprise her, as I had something else to send to her!

I received a lovely e-mail from her that she has safely received my parcel, and said she liked what I've stitched for her!
I'm very glad to hear it from her, it was very pleasure to stitch something for my dear friend!

This time, I added very thin ribbon and fabric flowers (?) on top of this pinkeep.
Here is the close up photo of it.
It's very cute, isn't it?

I love this, and I have some more left, so will use this for another opportunity when I make pinkeeps in the future!

Here is the backing fabric I used for this pinkeep.
This is my favourite fabric, very soft pink polka dot.

I stitched on 32ct linen with one strand as the designer recommends, so it looks very delicate, doesn't it?! or I think a bit weak, it's only my opinion, though...

I added our initials N & Y on it.

Ewe & Eye & Friends (EEF) designs are very enjoyable to stitch!
I love this designer and have many charts with me, so once I settle down (at the moment, I have so many things to stitch...), I want to stitch EEF designs a lot as my EEF collection!

Heart In The Grass

Just a few days ago, I have finished this "Heart In The Grass" © Ewe & Eye & Friends.
I used 35ct Linen, so it became very small and pretty!

I had very small frame in my (frame) stash box, and it just fits with this stitched piece, so I didn't make a Pinkeep this time and just have framed.

Actually this has sent out to its destiny, and now it's on the way to Italy!
I do hope she will like it!

In this design, there are many many speciality stitches rather than cross stitch.
So I think if I used coarser fabric than I used this time, it would became more beautiful!

I didn't have the recommended thread (pink heart part...), so changed the colour, but I think I should have used a bit more darker colour if I compare to the photo of this design...
But is it OK?? I hope so! lol

There was a line that to use silk ribbon to make a spider rose, but I didn't have narrow silk ribbon to use for it and actually I don't like ribbon embroidery much, so I made a spider rose with DMC cotton threads, like the photo on the right hand side.
The original photo shows it as white rose, but I used dark red threads instead of the white silk ribbon.

I just hope my friend will like it and it will reach her safely and soon!
Anyway, I love EEF design very much!

It's always beautiful and everytime I can enjoy and it's fun to stitch their designs very much!

By the way, thank you so much everyone for letting me know regarding framing!
Come to the conclusion that here in Japan is very humid (from June to most of summer time), so I think I better to use grass, mat or spacer in the frame, maybe...
The one I have framed ("Sweet Little Berries") luckily had spacer, so the grass didn't touch to the stitched piece!
Thank you so much for taking your time to answer to my question!

I really appreciate for it and for everyone! :D

"Smalls Exchange" FOR Yasmin

Today I've received an e-mail and heard that my exchange things has safely arrived to the recipient, so I put some photos here!
A few month ago, Yasmin and I had been talking about exchanging something in the near future, then finally the day of our exchange has came!
And I've heard that Yasmin love everything what I've stitched to her, so I'm very happy and it also made my day!

Actually there was no thema, we've only decided exchange small things.
I like mattress pincushion which Yasmin have been stitching and making very much.
Actually we both wanted to do "mattress pincushion exchange", but I have never made it and I wasn't confident to exchange it with someone at all.
But, how greedy I am! I wanted to have her mattress pincushion very much (LOL), so I told about it to her, then she kindly said to me "You can make anything to me, As you like", it helped me a lot, LOL

By the way, this time I decided to make pinkeep for her, as I knew that she loves Ewe & Eye & Friends as much as I do, I've chosen "In The Pink" from EEF collection!

I love EEF designs very much, too! This design is so cute as same as the others!
Special stitches were fun and I love this colour "Pink"!

Here are Pins which I've made by myself, some are cat's eye beads and some are metallic roses.

Here is the ribbon and top pearl pin which I also made by myself.
This time I used Bordeaux colour velvet ribbon for this pinkeep, as I thought it matches for this season.

Here is the back of pinkeep and the fabric which I've chosen for this design!
Before when I've exchanged pinkeep with Su, I also added this wee pocket and I've heard a lot that people liked this wee pocket and said nice idea, so this time I added "wee pocket" to Yasmin's again!

Actually I didn't know "wee" means then, and asked Su "What is 'wee' means?"
She told me the meaning, so now I know how to use and the meaning but, before then I just knew the word "wee wee", so it made me really confused. LOL

By the way, here is also another small present to Yasmin that I've made.
It's "Needle Minder", inside this (under the pink flower), there is Super Magnet in it!
So pins are stick on it, so she doesn't loose pins when she change threads colours!
Actually I made this by jam jar lid!

If friends want to know how to make this "Needle Minder", I had taken photos of the process to make one, so I will post a tutorial page later!

Anyway, I'm so happy that Yasmin really loved them all what I've sent to her!
It was really fun to stitch along as thinking of her!

Pinkeep Exchange FOR Su (1)

It has just started from a comment to my blog from someone who I have really admired.
It's
Su, who is really talented and stitches soooo many wonderful things always!
I was sooooooooooo happy to got her comment on my works, so I e-mailed her to tell how much I was happy to received her comment!
Then our friendship has started and have decided to do exchange pinkeep each other!

Su told me that the parcel has safely arrived to her (very fast! It took only 3-4days from Japan to England??), so I put some photos of the things what I've made for her!

This is the pinkeep for our "Pinkeep Exchange", I've chosen the design from EEF, because I've known that she loves EEF a lot!
The back of the pinkeep, I added a pocket and stamped her initial and mine on it.
I love polka-dot and "pink" recently, so this fabric was just my taste and thought it would suit well for the back of this pinkeep!

As for the ribbon, I used dark brown + baige checks one, and it's also my taste, lol.

Pins are made by myself with beads, it's easy to make and takes really short time, but when you see the finished one, they are so lovely and make nice accents to the finished item!
I've received sooooooo sweet e-mail from Su, and in the mail, she wrote that she really loves all the things what I've made for her!
I'm soooooooooooo happy to hear that from her, because I was a bit anxious till I've heard of it from her. LOL (everyone will feel the same, I think! lol)

I am still an amateur (lol) , it has only been a year and some months, since I've started cross stitch, and moreover I have been studying English so far, so this exchange with Su was a really big challenge for me!
I'm brave enough, aren't I?! LOL

Since I've started to write this English blog, I have made some lovely friends from foreign countires, and it's all through my addicted hobby "cross stitch"!!
Thank you so much all my friends, people who leave sweet comments here!
I'm so happy to hear your comments, please feel free to leave comments anytime!

And dear Su, I really appreciate for your kindness and generous heart !

* Rose House *

About a week ago, "Rose House" from "Ewe & Eye & Friends" was finished!
There were so many special stitches on it, and I was a bit anxious about them before I've started...
But thanks to the detailed information on the chart, I could make them!
This is really a beautiful design and I really became an EEF fan!

I realised that the special stitches are quite fun to stitch!
It was the first time for me to stitch special stitches, so I'm quite satisfied of the results!

This won't be in the frame, it's for the exchange!!So in the next post, I will show you how this turned out!
