Mum's Crochet AND My Work

Hi, today I share my mum's crocheted vest and also my pleasent work.
I posted that I am stitching six Birth Samplers, though I feel a bit fed up with them, so to change my feeling, I am stitching totally different design!

It's very fun to stitch, I hope I can share you this proper photo soon!
At the moment, like this... only cat's face.
I hope I will go forward more tonight, before I go to bed.
And here is my mum's work. She crocheted my vest that last night finished!
Isn't it beautiful?

I was a bit vague about this colour, though as seeing the photo, it's nice I think!
Now I'm wearing this, it's very warm!
Actually this vest has collar which can take off, though it wasn't so nice, so I didn't show the photo of it, this time.

Thank you mum! Now she is crochetting my son's scarf.Sweetie doesn't like to go to Preschool much lately, so she is trying to crochet his new scarf, to let him go to Preschool with wearing it!
So mum is going to crochet it and has to finish it tonight!!
The new start of Preschool was today, though he refused to go there.
I hope Sweetie goes to Preschool tomorrow...

Take care and happy stitching!
Thanks for your visit!

So Far So Good!

Hi, how are you? I wish you a wonderful New Year starts!
As for me, I have been fine so far, and also my mum and son!

Today we went to have a vaccination of Swine flu for my son.
He might have had it before, but we're not sure it was Swine flu or normal flu, so just to make sure.
He was very afraid of injection as Japanese type isn't spray type, but he didn't cry.
After injection, he kept saying "I am a good boy, aren't I?" lol
The rule has priority, so we can't have it yet... I hope we won't catch the Swine flu!

By the way, as I wrote my 2010 New Year's resolution on the last post, I'm starting Baby (Birth) Sampler for my friends and SIL (my brother's wife)!
The year before last and last year, I had so many friends and relatives who's pregnant around, maybe more than 10 people!
That's why, I'm stitching many of it!

Can you see, there are six pieces, I think I may stitch one more for another friend!
When I was stitching for my friends, SIL was there when we all gathered for the New Year.
She gave birth a baby girl in the last Nov. , so I asked her "if you would like to have this kind of embroidery, I would stitch with pleasure." timidly, because I was thinking we have nothing in common... BUT! SIL asked me, if I can make three for her each children.
I was very happy to hear that from her, as I was thinking she doesn't like what I do!

So far, Birth Samplers are like this... have to add their name and date (one over one, sigh...), and also add charms!
Oh, I should finish 6 pieces... how, I have an idea in my mind, hope it will go well!

Here is my mum's work, she is doing crochet, she is crocheting my vest.
And also she is knitting my cape? poncho, as well.
It seems goal is soon!

Here is chocolates that my Auntie gave us! They were REALLY yum!!
I have never had such delicious chocolates before.
I think I wrote the shop name on the paper to check the website, though I think now I lost the paper... shame!
I will ask my Auntie later, or will search it on the net.

[Edited] Shop web site : https://www.monloire.co.jp/index.php
I forgot to write that the rose chocolate smelt rose, really! When you smell the chocolate, there is no smell, though when you eat it, it smelled rose!!!

Take care and have a lovely New Year!

Thanks for your visit.

My Mum's Works (3)

Hi everyone, how have you been doing?
I have been better than before in country side with mum and sweetie.
I have started stitching recently, but it's for my friend's birthday present, so I can't show it at the moment...
So, again, I share some photos of my mum's works (sorry for not posting stitched piece at all...)

Today we went to the car dealer for a periodical inspection.
I'm having relaxed life, but what I don't like is mum's driving (LOL)!
I'm always going to be car sickness!! :(

Anyways, here is the knitted vest that my mum made for me!
Isn't this lovely? I love this yarns colour very much!

And here is an another vest for my sweetie.
He was playing with toys at car dealer, and he served baked cakes for us with spoons, forks and knives!

While he was playing with toys and I was stitching, the real car carrier has stopped in front of the dealer and of course sweetie was so excited to see the real one just in front of him!
That was also fun for us to see how to manage these kind of car.

After we came back home, sweetie tried to make the car carrier by acorns!
How is this? Quite good, isn't it?
Recently it's amazing to see how he growing up, he speaks so clearly and so well, and creative so many things with something around.
I will show some photos of his creativity sometimes later!

By the way, as for my illness, I went to a huge hospital yesterday to have check-up.
I checked my symptoms on the net and found some suspicious disease.
So I wanted to see a doctor who is the medical specialist of that disease, I could see the doctor, but it was the first time for me to visit that hospital and see the doctor, so it took 4 hours totally from when we left our home to arrived our home!!
We spent our time at the hospital more than 3 hours!!
I said mum and sweetie to go back home because it's tiring, but they were with me (I think that mum felt that I was nervous...), waited for me.
Thank you so much both of you, I appreciate for you two.
I took stitching stuffs, but I was quite nervous and it was huge hospital and most of things were mechanization, so I couldn't concentrate on stitching at all...

I had some tests, but have to visit there again and again to have more tests.
My next appointment is 2nd of March, but just for some tests again, and next time I can see a doctor is one more month ahead!! whew...
I will be able to know how I am in the end of March.
Think positive!

Thanks for visiting and Happy Stitching!

My Mum's Works! (2)

Sorry for not posting my stitching stuffs at all recently...
To be honest, I have been doing unwell, basically I have very low blood pressure and have been taking medicines, but I don't know it's working or not, I still have low blood pressure...
And so after when I had meal or after when I took a bath, I feel so sick (because blood pressure is getting be more low...), it's like having morning sickness... and can't move at all...
A doctor suggested me not to work or walk after that, but as having a little child, I can't have rest much...
These few months, it's getting harder than before, so I haven't been able to stitch much... sigh*

Anyways, so there is no photos to share about my stitching, I share some photos of my mum's works again instead.
I received a parcel from mum today and there were so many goodies for me and for my son (of course for my husband, too)!
She always put so many things with her heart, I really appreciate for her thoughtfulness.

Here is what I asked her to knit this year, knit camisole tunic!

When I saw this camisole tunic in the book, I fell in love and I asked her if it's possible.
And she said "Yes, I think I can do it!", so I was very excited when I saw this completed one today!!

Here are some close up photos.

I choose this button for this knit!

And she gave me surprise, she made other things, too!
This is a drawstring bag which I wanted!
She didn't forget what I said 2 years ago, and made it for me this year as she had yarn at home!

Inside of this bag, she used my favourite brown block check fabric, isn't this lovely?!

And also she made a knit cap for me (but if it doesn't suit for me, she said she would be happy if my son wear it), unfortunately it didn't suit for me AT ALL! and so I gave it to my son (he has big head, LOL)!

A bit big for him and actually he doesn't like wear caps, though, I told him it's made by his favourite grandma, so let's wear it when the weather is very very cold outside!

He loves my mum, so when he heard that this is made by my mum, he said "Yes!!" Pure boy! :)

My mum and I are talking on the phone almost everyday (we have IP phone, so it's free!), and she told me she is going to knit another cloths for me!!
She sounds having fun to make something for her children or grandchildren!
There are some previous engagement for her, SIL (my brother's wife) asked her to make kind of rucksacks for her children, so after she have done them she will knit for me! :)
She is busy, isn't she! :)

I hope I will be able to start cross stitch again soon.
Sorry to let you hear that I'm always unwell... honestly and basically I'm bit weak constitution, and have not physical strength, so if I have done something hard, I won't be able to do anything next day...

So, little by little, I hope I will be able to go forward.
I will make the list of this year's resolution later, and will post it to make me encourage by myself!

Take care and thank you so much for visiting!
Happy Stitching!

My Mum's Works! (1)

Not my stitching post yet, though some photos related to handcraft!

My mum also loves handcrafts, she has have tried and done so many arts, like patchwork, quilt, French embroidery, canework, papier-mache (like fimo), ceramic art (with my dad), sewing, knitting, etc...
And recently she has started cross stitch as I asked her to try!
And when I backed her home in the last Dec., she decorated this on the wall!

She said she miscalculated to cut the fabric, so she arranged the original design, though I can't see where it is, it seems perfect!
And if I was I wouldn't choose this colour's frame for red work, though isn't it beautiful?
She told me that she found it at craft shop and she thought it would be nice for it! Well done, mum!
(I forgot to ask what designer's chart this is...)
*Editid---Marianne told me in the comment that this is "Quaker Floral" by Midnight Stitching

But she says, sadly it's quite hard to do cross stitch for her as she has bad sight...
Now she has a piece of Prairie Schooler design as WIP or is already UFO??? :)

Anyways, I think I have told you before, though I can't knit at all...
And also can't do tennis, LOL
But my mum likes knitting, so I always ask her to knit something for me when the winter has come!

And the last year, I asked her to knit these pair of knit beret and scarf in indigo blue yarn.
And here they are (a photo below...), I'm wearing them in this photo!
They are quite lovely and they very suit for jeans style!

And this year, I asked her to make them... :)
One is neck warmer (photo below)!
Isn't this lovely??? I found this when I went to craft shop with mum in my birth town.
She made this in only two days!! I think for people who can knit well, it would be a piece of cake, but for me it's unbelievable!

And another one is this cape! (photo below)
The model in the book was knitted by orange tone yarn, but I choose this red base yarn as my lucky colour is red!
Isn't this also beautiful??? I wore this on the New year's day to feel mum being with me to cheer me up!

This is very warm and so it's so good for me as I have poor circulation!!
Actually she is knitting a lovely vest for me at the moment, she told me it will be ready soon so she will send it to me soon!!
When it arrived, I will show you the photo of it!
I really envy ladies who can knit so well, I really want to do knit, but I can't somehow...

My mum is so sweet, I have never met someone who is so kind and a warm-hearted person like her!
Thank you mum always helping me and sending me lots of love!!

I will visit you with Tass again soon!

Mum's work - Hat

First off, I wrote that I'm working on Bent Creek Autumn stitch in the last post, but it was wrong and actually I'm working on Heart in Hand stitch now!
It's in the middle way of stitching and I don't think there is enough progress to post here yet, so today I post my mum's work, again, lol.

Isn't it lovely?! She made knit hat for my niece, actually it was mine, but it was a bit small for me, so she changed the pattern a bit and made it to her grand-child!
I don't know she (my niece) will like it or not, but I think this is really lovely and this is just my taste!
Really suit well for my wardrobe and it's my fav colour "brown"!
So I will ask mum to make one more, a bit bigger hat for me, as well (lol) !

Anyway, I hope I can show you some progress of Heart in Hand Autumn stitch in the next post!

Preparing for the Winter

As you may already know, I can't knit at all, it's so difficult for me...
So, knitting is my mum's field and her hobby from Autumn to Winter!
She has started knitting from a few weeks ago, then she made this light green scarf as the first work for this year!

It will actually be sold at bazaar at my niece's Preschool.
Isn't it lovely? I like it very much, so I will ask her to make the same one for me as well!

Actually she already has made me an another scarf, it's also lovely!
It feels so soft and I really like this colour, it's like hand dyed thread, isn't it?!

She does knitting so fast, so she has made a small hat for my niece last night, it's also so cute!
I will post the photo of it some another time!

I really want to knit, but why???
I have no talent at knitting at all! Really poor me, I can't knit AT ALL!!! lol
It must be really fun, if I could knit... sigh... :(

Mum's Work (2) - "Rien ne sert de courir..."

Here is the 2nd works of my mum!
She has chosen the design from Echevette again, I think she likes Echevette a lot!

It had been a few weeks, since she has finished this stitch, but we couldn't find the suitable frame for this stitch...

Then, I realized that I've bought a small basket for something to make, then when I sized it was just fitted!!

I like crafting, so I asked her to let me make the lid with her stitch, like this!
How is it? I added linen lace around the lid to hide the juncture, lol

Here are the photos of the fabric which I used for the back of the lid.
Very lovely flower fabbie suits this basket, I think.

I thought it's a nice idea to make stitched lid of the basket, and so I'm going to buy the same baskets (bigger size, I prefer) and will do the same as hers to make my own sewing box, some other time!

My mum's first work!

My mum has just started doing cross stitch with me! So I gave her fabrics (Aidas which I've bought at very first when I've started cross stitch) and she has chosen THIS from lots of charts that I have, for the first stitch!

How is this?
I think she has really well done as the first work!!
It's really pretty design, so I want to try to stitch this some other time!

When I downloaded them, they were free, but unfortunately, include this, they are not free chart anymore...
I must say I was really lucky!

She finished as an ornament, trimmed with code and made tassel by herself with the left code, but as they were twisted, it shrunk when she untied, LOL

Recently we found and bought so many tassels, so next time when I try to finish like this, I will use proper tassel!
Just to make sure, I've asked her if she tries to use the proper tassel and undo, but she said that she is satisfied this result and so leave it as it is... so it's of course still shrunk, whenever I see, LOL

Here is the backing fabric. This fabric was my favourite, lovely isn't it?!
But it really suit well for this design I thought and she liked this as well, I pleased to gave it to her to use!
Now she has been trying to stitch another one from Echevette and when it finished she will try to more bigger design which she felt in love at the first sight!

From my mum...

Today I received a parcel from my mum!
She made me a lovely knitting bag and a vest for my son!

When I saw the vest, I thought "What is this?" but, once I let my son tried this vest on, it was sooo cute and the size was just fitted!
It's boat-necked vest, and the buttons around the neck are cute as well!

Buttons are transparent flower shaped and it's lovely and just my taste!
The bag is the one that I asked her to make for me, and she has chosen the dark brown fabric for the inner as I expected!

I'm so happy to get them! Thanks mum!
The bag is very tiny, so won't be a dairy use, but I'm planning to put it on the wall as an interior.

Trying to knit

Recently I've started to try to knitting!
Actually, I'm really not good at knitting, it's terrible at all, lol...

So now my mum is teaching me how to do it as sitting beside me...(My mum is visiting us and staying at my home now!)

This green doiry is made by my mum!Actually I wanted to make this doiry by myself as the first work, but couldn't make it, lol.So my mum made it instead.

And this motif is that I have been trying to knit now!
The colours are really nice and that's just my taste (This would be a small bag)!

I really don't know whether that I could make it or not, but will try to do my best to complete this bag!I'll post the photo when it has done!
