Freebie : Soot plus White © Bent Creek

Hi, thanks for stopping by and thanks for your lovely comments for my past posts.
Since my friend has told me that there are some Freebies on © Bent Creek blog "Bent Creek Life", I couldn't resist to stitch this cute design!

The name of this design is "Soot plus White", these colors are over dyed threads name that chart called for, but unfortunately I didn't have them in my stash so I've used "Peacock" by Carrie's Creation and "Oatmeal" by WDW instead of them.

I also didn't have the right frame for this finished piece, size also the color, so have added two layers of fabrics for the background then colored the frame from natural to white.

I think I've edited these photos too much, so they don't show colors justice, IRL they're more darker.
I also added gingham check ribbon around the stitched piece, pearl beads etc, to make it more lovely look.

I think this photo above is the most closest color to show you.
I wish I could have the right frame like © Bent Creek Life shows on their blog, I like this stitched piece but I don't think it does suit for this layered fabric and also this frame... shame!

Here is my WIP for my dear friend's wedding.
I asked her to tell me honestly what she wants for her wedding gift as I knew she has most of everything she needs already, and she made me surprise, she asked me to stitch something about wedding!

I have stitched for another co-worker's wedding before, but my dear friend saw it for few minutes but she remembered my work and asked me to do it for her, too!
It's so honored to be asked to stitch for someone's important anniversary.

I asked her what kind of design she wants, and she chose this design "All Because" © Imaginating.
At the moment, I've just finished all the cross stitch part, can you believe all the other parts were filled with back stitch...
It's hard to finish soon, but it's gonna be beautiful in the end!!

Recently I've been cleaning up my house and have found many of grandparents stuff.
I love old things so am collecting them and displaying in my room now.

Old Japanese wooden bobbins, bowls, etc...
I will reuse them as interior.

Thank you for your visit!
Take care and have a lovely week ahead.

Merry Christmas!

Hi, I wish you a very merry Christmas!
Today I'm feeling so sleepy from lack of sleep as Sweetie was so excited to receive Toy (LEGO Creator series) from Santa, and he couldn't sleep well and kept talking to me from a day before yesterday, lol

Here is an ornament that I've stitched a couple of years ago for the class (of course it was free) for beginners.

Mary Glover SAL - 0503, and Freebie

Hi, it's been so long since the last time I've posted.
Every year this season (especially March and April), I've been not so well, and also my son had been ill these past few weeks, he had high fever for about a week, and couldn't eat anything at all...
It was cause of inflammation of the middle ears, and also he had adenovirus.
That's why he had high fever, and it took so long time to recover.

Now he has been OK, but am feeling not so well...

I've been working on Mary Glover SAL a little by little, but even I've tried so many times for over one part, I can't manage it, also have tried tent stitch, though...
I will practice them and will try it again, later!

Merry Christmas - Joyeux Noel -

Merry Christmas - Joyeux Noel!!
How are you spending your Christmas? I hope you do have a very lovely day and holiday!
I spent most of time with my family (include my brother's family), we went out for shopping to buy Christmas pressie for nephew and niece, and also Tass then we came back to his house to see his new born baby Rikako! She is so tiny and so pretty!
As for stitching, last night I finished finishing of Noel (bell), and presented for mum just in time!!
I took photos on a white table cloth, so it doesn't show justice, though I sew two pieces together and made it into an ornament!
I wanted to make the one like beautiful works like Yuko at Casa Mia in Italy did, though I miscalculated to cut the fabric, so I made it into an ornament.

I added my mum's initial (H) lace motif on it and added ribbon.
I was very rush so it isn't beautifully sew together, though mum was so happy to receive unexpected present from me, so I'm happy with it!

I used this above fabric for the back of the ornament. If I make one for myself, I will use more simple fabric, though I thought mum would like this kind of fabric, so...
Unexpectedly, Sweetie saw this ornament and said "I want this, too!!" "Mama, please make one for me, too!!!" and he is still remembering to go for shopping to buy (T) lace motif, lol
I don't know he yet want me to make one for himself, so I will ask him tomorrow.
(I will make one for myself!)

Here is the most loveliest ornament made by Sweetie Tass!
See, he drew "car" on the tree... lol
But I was amazed how he has done, he couldn't make anything like this before, thank Preschool, thank teachers!

Yesterday, mum's friend came with her home made Christmas for Tass.

How kind of her! She is always so kind, Tass likes her, too.

Decoration was done by us, Sweetie is trying to pick whips, like kitten!
Tada-! Lovely cake, isn't this?
As every year, Sweetie and I left some food for Santa and reindeer!
This year I forgot to buy cookies, so we left chocolates and milk, and carrots for reindeer.
Sweetie is looking forward to see this plate tomorrow morning, oh before then he will be surprised by Santa's pressie!

Merry Christmas to you all!
Thanks for your visit!

Tote Bag FOR Sweetie!

From a week ago, Sweetie is going to Preschool!
In Japan a new term starts from April, Sweetie was going to another Preschool in my area, but as my physical condition was very bad and weak in Feb and May, we came back to my mum's home.
I payed all money for the Preschool, but they couldn't refund it, well c'est la vie...

By the way, recently most of kids go to Preschool from 3 years old, so even we went to parks nobody is playing... so Sweetie wanted to have friends.
So I asked the most nearest Preschool from my mum's home, soon the director accepted him to go there!
They are very kind and nursery cost is very cheaper than the city one where I lived!

City Preschool where Sweetie was going to was very strict, let mums make bags etc and everything and all the size was decided, etc... but this Preschool where now Sweetie goes is very free, so we very like it so much.
Teachers are so nice and kind, gentle, everything is great!

This Preschool doesn't need any handmade bags, etc... but I wanted to make something for Sweetie, so as Sweetie loves rabbit, I choose this pattern from gazette94 and stitched to make a bag!
Actually I just stitched, and mum made it into a tote bag! :D

Here is a photo of us go to Preschool by walk, the Preschool is placed only 5 minutes by walk!
Sweetie is a very good boy to exchange greetings, his voice is very cheerful and loud and so teachers always praise Sweetie, and so I'm very proud of him!

At the moment, he comes back at noon as trial, but from August he will stay there until 3 pm!
It means my stitching time will be secured!! Woo Hoo!
But Sweetie hates veges and fruits and to take a nap, so I'm worried about school lunch and nap time...
I hope he will do the same as other children do! :D

The Velveteen Rabbit

I received a lovely mail from my cousin about the Birthday present, so I feel happy and relief that I heard that she loves it so much!
She will come over here in the summer holiday, so we are very looking forward to spend time together!

By the way, here is my new finish! Very tiny lovely rabbit!
This is a sweetie's favourite (also my favourite) book, "
The Velveteen Rabbit (digital library)" by Margery Williams Bianco, illustrated by Komako Sakai ( I LOVE her illustrations!! ), and I red on my friend's blog that someone patterned this rabbit for cross stitch, so I left her a comment to give me the pattern, too.

This was patterned by jojo, she kindly gave me a chart and now we are e-mailing.
jojo sometimes left me comments here!
Thank you, jojo for this lovely pattern and comments! :)

It was so fun to stitch this tiny rabbit, once I saw the pattern, I wanted the stitched piece in this dark rich brown frame, and when I counted the linen that I wanted to stitch on, it was perfect for this frame, so I was very happy and couldn't resist to start to stitch!

I didn't have (actually I couldn't find) some recommended threads, so I changed a bit, but it's still lovely, isn't it?!
I stitched on 28ct DMC lavender linen, and added lace ribbon around the edge.

Actually this lace is velveteen ribbon, but velveteen parts were hided back on the frame, shame...
I showed this finished piece to Sweetie, he loved it so much and hugged it! :) lovely boy!

Now I'm working on Biscornu for Biscornu Exchange (Japanese group), Mary Wigham SAL, "Summer Joy" © CCN and "The Three Pigs" © Prairie Schooler for Sweetie.
Sweetie is very looking forward to see the finished piece of "The Three Pigs", but sorry Sweetie, it will take time until I finish it!

I will do my best for it! :)
Oh! I shouldn't forget to stitch for my dearest friend's baby sampler...

I should organize my WIPs and my mind!!
I will write down my WIPs and UFOs here and organize them next time!

Thanks for visiting, and take care!

Happy Stitching!

Lilly Of The Valley - "Tapestry"

How much do I love Lilly of the valley??? lol
I fell in love this
danybrod's design so much, and one made into a heart shaped ormament which I gave my mum already.

And another one, I stitched on linen band is made it into a tapestry (banner?) !

I so really love this, if you don't mind me saying, I think it's perfect to me!
I attached organza ribbon to tie bunch of the flowers, and also added wood button for the pocket.

Here are some photos...

I normally make triangle part (pocket, I mean) on the back, though this time I wanted it to be a pocket on the stitched side, and added wood button!
So I can put scissors in it, etc...

I really love this, thanks dany for this beautiful pattern!!!

*******************************************************************

Hi again, here is yet another GIVEAWAY!

I don't know why but, I'm so grateful for everyone around me, especually this year more than before.
Probably, I think I have not been in good health, suffering from the side effect of medicines...
So I'm quite nervous more than before and so I really appreciate for everybody who care about my health a lot...

So, this year is a thanks year, and so here is another small token of my gratitude.

I made another pinkeep with Lilly of the valley design © Les grilles de Maryse, as I want everyone to "BE HAPPY!"

I stitched on 28ct Stoney Creek Dyed Fabrics (Antique Pink) with DMC (#470, #3865).
On the photo, flowers colour doesn't show up much, but in the real life, it's fine!

Here is a photo of backing fabric I chose for this pinkeep.
Lilly of the valley & Roses??? a bit funny, though, it's OK! :D

Here are some close up photos...

I put rose (again?? lol) , what do you say? a little ornament (?) on the top of this pinkeep.
This time I didn't add tied ribbon, leaving this aside quite simple and nice, I think...

If you would like to join in this Give Away, it's just simple, just leave a comment ON THIS POST ONLY for this Pinkeep, and please post about my Give Away on your blog.
