The Mermaid Sampler FIN + Garden Glade Again

Hi, it's been almost one month since I posted last time.
I don't know why, but I couldn't upload photos on Blogger, although I tried some times before, and even now... but found the way finally!
I use HTML editor, I can upload photos! whew...

Anyway, finally I finished this "The Mermaid Sampler" © Carriage House Samplings!
It was quite fun to stitch along, it was Private SAL with Nancy, I'll ask her how she is working for it.

Although I've already chosen the frame for this sampler, I'm concentrating on another one now, so haven't been framing yet, hope it looks lovely. :D
It was good for me to stitch on 28ct as my eyes are tired lately...

"Bo-Peep" WIP 0712 - Leaves done

Hi, how have you been?
It's so humid day around here today... Summer has come, I heard cicada was shrilling this morning!!

Since I've finished "Birds of Killingworth" and framing, I've been stitching "Bo-Peep" © La-D-Da.
And here it is, I've finished all leaves!! whew... I don't like to stitch leaves much, so now I'm feeling very nice!

Long time no see! I'm still stitching!

Hi! It's been so long since the last time I've posted!
More than one month?
But, I was still stitching, stitching is useful in getting rid of stress for me.

But the other hand, I haven't been well this past one month.
Almost every day I had headache, and also wasn't feeling well like car sickness...
I know why these symptons happen always to me, though I won't tell about it here at the moment.

I was going to finish, Mary Glover SAL, and also "Isabella Johnstone SAL (Private SAL)" with Terri, but as I have been having headache, I couldn't stitch over 32ct.
So I have changed the plan now.

Happy Dance! "Sarah Spurr" Fin!

Hi, finally "Sarah Spurr" © Carriage House Samplings has finished!
It took more time to stitch outer frame than I thought, but it was very fun!

Here are some photos of "Sarah", it finished this afternoon and the weather wasn't good today, so I took these photos in the living room, that's why they are not good photos, though...
Especially the colour doesn't show well justice, in the real time this piece is so beautiful on this rich colour linen!

Sarah's progress 0203 and "Setsubun"

Hi, how are you?
It was a fine day today, not so cold, not windy, was a very comfortable day!
How's weather in your country?

BTW, here is my "Sarah Spurr" © Carriage House Samplings, I can't believe that I can stitch very faster than usual, it's so fun to stitch along like when I began cross stitch!!
Sarah is so beautiful, but I'm not sure the thread colours that I've changed...
What do you think? so far so good? or do I better to change somewhere in this piece??
I do hope everythings going well in the end!!

Tomorrow, my friends and our children will visit one of their home to let them play and of course as for us to stitch!

I'm going to write down my 2011's goal on the left side bar sometime soon, so I can figure out what to stitch next! :D
If you are planning to stitch the same project, please feel free to let me know, we may be able to do SAL if our timing correspond to our plan!

BTW, today was a "
Setsubun", Sweetie came back from Preschool with Ogre mask as every year!

This year's Ogre is also pretty, not scary at all! :D

And we made Rolled Sushi (Makizushi or Maki-Sushi) called "Eho-Maki" which brings happiness for us whom ate whole it as looking toward the years direction. (Sorry for my poor English...!!)

This year's direction was south-southeast, so we ate them as looked toward south-southeast.
We hope we will be able to be happy this year, especially hope to be in good health!

Sarah will finish soon, so please look forward to seeing her finished piece!

Take care and have a lovely day!
Thank you for your visit to my blog.

New WIP "Sarah Spurr" by Carriage House Samplings 0201

Hi, I was going to decrease my WIPs this year, though I couldn't resist to start this design that I had been longing to stitch for many years!!
It's been a long time to stitch on 40ct, but I love this 40ct Vintage Light Exampler (Lakeside Linens & Designs, Inc.)!

Here is a photo of Sarah's progress on 25th of Jan. I changed some thread colours, it's quite tough design, but I'm very enjoying to stitch along at the moment!

And here is some photos of Sarah's today's progress!
At the moment, I'm stitching only this, so it's making rapid progress!

Now it's more stitched, so please look forward to see the next progress!! :D
I'm already planning to stitch another CHS design as next project!

Thank you so much for your visit!
Take care and have a lovely Feb.

WIP - Black And White

Hi, today I share two of my present WIPs with you.
One is WIP - "Black", CHS's Alphabet Sampler that I wanted to stitch one day for Sweetie Tass.
He is learning ABCs by himselves, so while he was in the hospital I decided to start this for him!

How he learns ABCs is very unusual, guess how?
"A" is for Audi, "B" is for BMW, "H" is for Honda, "M" is for Mazda, "N" is for Nissan, "S" is for Suzuki, "T" is for Toyota, "V" is Volks Wagen, etc... LOL!!
Everything is relating with car makers!
Moreover, learning from car name, like "M" is for Mini (Auntie Carol, don't worry! he never forgets your car!!), etc...

And also why I started this is while he was in the hospital, I wanted to ask my mum to bring something to stitch. But I couldn't tell where they are properly, but luckily I just remembered where this chart and Witchelt 35ct Lambswool are in my stash, and so she wouldn't need to look for many colour of threads if I do this, she just need to found #310, so this was very nice to start!

The last square where add stitchers full name, I stitched Yuko for Tass instead.
And another square to add year, I just stitched 20.., so I can finish this whenever in the near future!
I hope I can finish this before he goes to elementary school.

And another WIP - "White" is here AMAP's "NOEL Blanc".
I remember that I bought this chart when I started cross stitch, it was the first sight love, though there was no chance to stitch until now.
I remember that it was very hard to buy from French shop!
But this year I really wanted to stitch and finish this.

But the choice of fabric was very hard, I was going to stitch on 40ct Flax linen, but there are some one over one part, so I should have chosen another linen.
And I found this very beautiful grayish-purple linen that my friend Domy in France gave me.
This is 28ct and I realised it's at the very limit of margin, though I fell in love with this colour combination, so I hope it will go well at the end when I go for framing!

There are so many borders left that I hate, and there are some other Christmas designs that I want to stitch, so I should stitch and finish this quickly and want to stitch at least one more!

Thank you for your visit.
Take care!

"SWAP" FOR Bogi

Today I received a lovely e-mail from Bogi in Hungary that she received a parcel for SWAP safely from Japan!

Since Bogi became my SWAP partner, I checked her blog so many times, and found that she loves CHS and LHN.
I was going to make elegant type ornament for her, but changed my mind as I found her taste!

As I was unwell for a long time, there was not so much time to stitch, then I realized that there is a WIP of CHS's "SOHRH" (block 11) in my WIP box.
So I decided to continute to stitch this design for her!
I was thinking how to finish, though I got a good idea in my mind that to make TIN with this design!

I stitched this on 40ct Wichelt (Sandstone / Tea) with DMC, it was so fun to stitch for her!
I added ric rac tape around the stitched piece, also buttons for four corners!
And added laces around the TIN like this (above).

I used gingham checked (blue x white) fabric for the base and inside of the TIN, and other than that I used like denim fabric.

Here is the close up photo!
I loved this block, because there is whale and so lovely, but coincidence this block's first alphabet is "B" is for Bogi! :D

I really liked how it turned out, so I prepared for another one for myself.
The rest that I have to do is stitch again and cover the TIN lid.
Which block shall I stitch for the next one?!
I hope I will be able to stitch this as soon as I can to organize my stitching stuffs inside!

I'm so happy to hear that Bogi loved everything that I sent her!
It was so pleasure to stitch and finish this for you, Bogi!
Take care and thanks for visiting!
And thank you so much for so many nice comments for "SAKURA" and "My First Easter Stitch"!

I also received beautiful and wonderful parcel from Nina in Hungary!!
I have lots to share with you!

Until then, Happy Stitching!!

I'm Back! AND Birthday Present FOR Carol R.

Hi everyone! I'm finally back from mum's home, and I brought back my mum with us to our home for 1 week! :)
I had very cozy and relax 2 weeks at mum's home, it was so nice chance to have unexpected holiday with her!
I realized again that I like country side... I don't like crowded place, much...
I will report my country side life with some photos later, today I share stitching photos which I made for Carol R.'s Birthday!

I know that Carol loves Quaker, so I found CHS's chart (one of Sampler House) in my stash and took them to my mum's home with me.
Here it is, I made a flat fold for her.

I stitched on 40ct newcasthle linen (flax) and used DMC.
I changed the Initials to her's and mine in navy, and added 08, too.
All Initials were stitched on 1 over 1 on 40ct, it was soooo hard to stitch!!

I added dark brown braid around the edge, and added organza(?) ribbon on left top with wooden button.
I also added dark brown thin ribbon which shaped leaves at the support on the back.

I used grey rose fabric for the back.
I forgot to take a photo of backing fabric, though Carol has some photos of this on her blog, if you would like to see. :)

Actually this wooden button was my son's favourite (he likes small spherical things), so when he saw that I added this button on the ribbon, he was going to take it back!! (lol)
He was almost going to cry, so I gave him another wooden button :D

By the way, Thank you so much Dovile, Sally for the sweet Christmas cards!
I wish you all will have very merry Christmas!

Thanks for visiting and Happy stitching!

"M" Is For ...

I had seen the comment that Margaret was interested in "Tear-drop shaped coasters" which I've made before, so I've asked her if she would like to have the pattern of it and have sent it to her.
I just wanted to make and add something in the parcel, and as I remembered that she loves "Mermaid", the nice idea has came out in my mind!
Here it is! I just thought it'll be smal but a perfect gift for her!

I've made a small Pinkeep for her, with Carriage House Samplings design "Mermaid".
The original design is written "Mermaid" below in the Orange background area, but I changed it into her name "Margaret".

Here is the photo of the shell pin which I added on the top!
It's perfect for this Mermaid design, isn't it?
I've chosen Orange checked ribbon for the Pinkeep.

Here is photo of the side of Pinkeep.
I used orange and white making pins for both right and left hand sides.

I have collected all alphabets of this patterns of CHS (not new one...), so it's my aim to stitch everything altogether, one day, until when my son will learn alphabets at school!

Here is a photo of backing fabric which I used for it.
I love these kind of quiet pattern fabric to use as backing fabric and I thought this would suit well for this Pinkeep's design and colour.

It was quite fun to make this alphabets, so I'm very looking forward to stitching along these alphabets altogether one day!

But I will use maybe 32ct linen for the next time, it was a bit hard to stitch on 35ct (2 strands)...

By the way, Margaret has also sent me something, she told me.
I'm so excited to receive it!
It's exciting to see what's in there in the letter box nowadays!!

By the way, I'm still doing a "Give it a way" a chart "Sweet Little Berries" by Little House Needleworks, as I wrote in the last post. If you are interested in it and would like to have it, please just leave a comment (just a line is OK!) on the last post! I will draw lots and choose one person on 16th (Sunday) of March (Japanese time...).

[WIP] HOHRH - House (Block) 8, Fini

Finally, finally, I've finished House (Block) 8 of The Houses Of Hawk Run Hollow! whew...
I don't know why but I didn't want to stitch this for a long time...
But as I told you that I have started "The Shores Of Hawk Run Hollow", I thought I should do this and let this go forward a bit, as well!

I feel so fine as it has completed!!

Now it's like this!!
Only three houses have done at the moment, it's a long way to finish all houses, but actually it's fun and very beautiful design!
What's next?

Uhmmm, I think I want to stitch House (Block) 6!

As for "The Shores Of Hawk Run Hollow", it's obviously hard to stitch along, but at the moment, I'm having fun!
Now I have been stitching Block 11.

I think normally people will start from Block 1, but I just stitch the Block which I want!
Oops, that means the most dislike Block I have to stitch at the end, lol...

I think I better change my stitching style, lol

This and "The Shores Of Hawk Run Hollow" will take many years to complete, but I have been stitching as thinking the day I finished this!
