LHN "The Old West" Framed!!

Hi, thank you for your lovely words for my English problem on the last post.

Your words are so kind and warm, thanks a lot , I will keep up to write in English and a few lines of my own language.

Since I finished and framed Quaker "Love", I think I'm in stitching mood now!!
My mum's friend was so pleased to receive the sampler that I've stitched, and then so I was very happy to hear from her on the phone how she loves it!

先日、母のお友達に完成したQuaker "LOVE"　を無事プレゼントすることが出来ました。とても喜んで頂けて、ホッとしています。

And here is a framed piece "The Old West" © Little House Needleworks!
The frame is a ready made one, and I ordered mat for this.
Why I choose Orange mat is what this is for my dearest son Tass and he loves "Orange", that's why!

The Christmas concert of Tass's Preschool was held on Friday, and it was so fantastic, he was so good and also we mums performed on the stage, too!

Happy Dance! - "Pumpkin Hollow" Fin!

Hi everyone, how have you been doing?
It's been almost one month since I posted the last time.

As I told you that I can't buy new cross stitch stuffs anymore (lol), though my friend (no blog) presented me some new charts as I wrote about it!
I was so happy to received them!! Thank you, "N"!! :)

When I saw this lovely design, I couldn't resist to start to stitch!
And rarely happen, it was quite fast to finish for me!

Isn't this design so lovely?!
When I saw the chart photo, I thought more darker colours that chart calls for, but when I gathered all threads they were quite colourful, and so if it wasn't lovely, I was going to undo with different colour.

But when I finished and saw the whole design, I thought it's so lovely and perfect!!
It was so fun to stitch a long this design, so it doesn't matter if someone asked me to stitch this design again, I would do that! :)

Here are some french knots parts, it's been so long since I have done french knots last time, so it was quite difficult for me this time...
Oh, I shouldn't forget to tell that I changed this pumpkin's flower colour and also the pumpkin that there is left of the sign board ("Pumpkin Hollow") since the colour didn't show up well on this linen colour.

Finally the day I can share my works (WIPs) with you came today!
Now I feel good that I can update my stitching works on my blog!
There are so many WIPs, though at the moment I'm stitching them below.

At first, I'm stitching "Dog Lessons For People #143" by Lizzie*Kate.
Actually I was stitching "The Tea Room" by CCN but couldn't concentrate on at all, so decided to change the chart that I stitch to this!
The thread colours call for this chart are very colourful and lovely, so it makes me feel cheerful!
My son Tass loves dog, so I want to hung this on his room when it completed! :)

Next project is "Simple Joys" by LHN.
Actually it's stopping stitching at the moment, so the photo is the same as before I took.

Here is "The Tea Room" by CCN.
I started this with my mama friends, but couldn't concentrate on stitching this at all, so changed the design to "Dog Lessons For People #143" by Lizzie*Kate.


My all mama friends who I'm stitching with (5 people includes me) have chosen LHN or CCN designs as I thought!!
One of my friend is very fast stitcher (on Aida at the moment... but will switch and try Linen soon!), so she has stitched many of designs already!
I will share some photos of her works one day later!

And here is now I'm stitching "Pumpkin Patch" by Prairie Schooler.
I want to buy new chart for Halloween by PS, though if I bought my mum would be mad (lol), so I'm stitching the last year version.
Also my mama friend that I talked about is stitching this, too!

I hope I can show you more works forwarded later when I update next time.

Hi, I'm Back with this!

Hi, I'm back here! It was a very hot day today, like in August... but I'm still surviving!
I have been stitching this LHN's "Simple Joys" when I was feeling fine.
It has not done yet, though I wanted to post this today, as today is the special day for me.

Recently I have been messing up (always? lol) threads, so it was quite hard to find the right threads the chart calls for (actually I couldn't find them out), so I looked for similar colours of threads for this design, so most of the threads are different from the chart calls for...

Actually I have plenty of time to stitch when I'm feeling fine, but now I'm addicted in gaming online (silly me!), but I will finish this in this week or in the near future!

Tomorrow my friends will come to my house to stitch together!!
How fun would that be!

I'm going to look for charts we will stitch, we will decide which one we will stitch, maybe we choose as we like...
I will report about it later!

"Lavender Hill" For my cousin's Birthday!

Hi! Recently I haven't been able to surfing net like before, instead of it I have been stitching much more than before!

Now I'm working on Mary Wigham and some other WIPs.
The end of this month is my dear cousin Akiko's Birthday, and was going to stitch this design for her, but I wasn't in mood to stitch LHN nowadays, so I was going to give up to present her this year.


But, this year is an appreciation year (which I decided), so yesterday I decided to start again, and finished this last night!
The frame and mat was already bought, so what I had to do is just iron and frame it.

The last time I stitched this design for my friend's Birthday, I choose different frame and pale green mat, though this time I choose lavender mat and very simple frame.

I think this frame is much better than the last one, simple is the best???
What do you think?
I will stitch this design three more times (lol), for my mum, another cousin, and for myself!
I have already bought frames and mats for this design, and mum's and mine are the same as the frame that I presented for my friend.
But I might change if this simple frame looks better than the last one!

I really like this design, so I'll never think it's tiring!

This design is so lovely and so I can't wait to hang it on the wall in my room!

Private Exchange FOR Nina

Finally I could manage stitching and finishing Nina's Exchange, whew...

We had been talking about our private exchange since the last year, and she sent me wonderful exchange in April, but I couldn't make anything nice, I have never failed such many times before, then took time until send it out recently...

As you know, Nina is so talented and I've received wonderful works of hers first, so I was very hesitating to stitch and make something for her... you know what I mean?!
I was going to stitch sewing case by Lavender Lace, but there were so many specialty stitches, and also one over one, and I failed so many times, so I gave up!

Next time, I decided to stitch and make sewing sets by French designers, but the almost whole stitches were one over one, and I gave up again, as I can't do it...
Then decided to make this tin designed by LHN for her, but you know, again I made careless mistake on it, and so I decided to stitch one more piece...
I have never failed so many times like this time before!!
There must be BIG frog still on my shoulders!!

So here are two tins for her and for myself because I decided to complete mistaken one for myself.
I know Nina likes pink, but the design is based on light blue, so I added light blue flowery ribbon around the stitched pieces, and added pearl beads on four corners.

I also made a fob and pincushion for her.

Uhmmmm, it was too much, too fussy?
I was a bit worried about this, but I received a sweet mail from her, and she told me that she loves everything, so I'm so happy and feel relief now!

Here is mine, I will post how I failed and made mistake on hers and mine, though I added small ribbon charm on the mistaken spot to hide it.

This exchange had also another highlight, we exchanged our countries spices!
Her fiancee Tamas wants to try Japanese spices, so I sent her many of spices of our country and also instant miso soup, etc...!
I hope Tamas and Nina will love them!!

Here is a Strawberry Diary, we (actually sweetie) picked 5 pieces of strawberries this time!
This photo was taken on 5th of June, now strawberries are taking nap (lol), there seem not so many left to grow up...
Hope they will grow up more and more and let us taste again! :D

LHN - "Lavender Hill" FOR My Friend

Hi! Finally I can show you my stitched piece!
Today it's my Japanese friend's Birthday.
I received a message from my dear friend S. that she received her Birthday Present from me safely today!
She loves LHN and CCN, so I choose this design from my stash.
Actually I was anxious if she has done this design before, but I so like this design and thought this would be her taste.

It was very pleasure to stitch for her, and this design was so fun to stitch!
I am stitching this design for my cousin, too and will stitch again for myself, too!
AND, my mum asked me to stitch for her, too, (lol) she is being greedy nowadays because I showed her online shop site and introduced so many designers.
She was so excited to see so many beautiful designs and said wants me to stitch them, as she has bad sight, she can't stitch complicated designs.

The model recommended Lambswool and I had it in my stash, but I thought this Belfast (Platinum) looks more similar with the model photo.
Threads are recommended DMC threads.

I was planning to frame this and asked to make a mat for it.
And here is the photo of it what I sent to my friend! Beautiful isn't it?

Here is a close up photo of the mat and frame.
I asked to make 2 more mats for my cousin's and for mine, and both are different with this mat.

For my cousin, I choose lavender colour mat and I made double mat in same lavender and ivory for mine!
My mum will choose lavender single mat for hers.

I love this design so much, it's SO lovely in the frame, so no wonder my mum fell in love with this and asked me to stitch this for her, too!

Anyway, Happy Birthday dear my friend!

Let's keep in touch and stitch even though we became old ladies!

I will have to work on a piece for SWAP, so won't be able to show stitched piece for a while again, though will post some about my life or my family!

Isn't this too cute!?

I found this on Gigi R.'s blog and it says that Diane Williams created this design specially for the benefit of UNICEF.


I've already ordered and Gigi sent me quicly, it took only 5 days to get here in Japan!
The price is 8.5 Euro, and you would be able to get the information of how to purchase this chart if you contacted her.

LHN Nighborhood SAL Progress 0718

Here is my progress of Little House Neighborhood SAL!
I'm stitching on 28ct, so it's quite large piece and so it's quite hard to manage the fabric, but I think it will be very beautiful and impressive when it has completed!

As I'm weak stitching trees and borders, I haven't been stitching them yet, now I'm building the house on the top part.
This is very fun stitching a long!

When it completed, I will frame it or if the frame cost too much, I will make flat fold.
And I will present this for her new house with some gifts!
