Biscornu Exchange FOR Miya

As you may know that I've joined Biscornu Exchange (Japanese group) and here is what I made for my partner Miya.
I received an e-mail from her, so I share what I made.
But I received wonderful Biscornus from her, so I so hesitate to show mine... >_<

This is freebie from French site, I thought it would be very lovely as there were my favourite Spider web roses!
I also added beads as chart recommended, and I found a green button in my stash, so I added it on the center of it.

This is the back side of the Biscornu.
I added my favourite light milk pink button on the center on this side.

I thought this is a bit quiet, so I used over dyed thread to sew two pieces together, I hope it got to make it bit more cheerful!
Thank you Miya for this wonderful exchange.

And thank you for your visit and comments!
I really appreciate for them all!

Take care and happy stitching!

Biscornu Exchange FROM miya (I'm speechless!)

Hi, how have you been spending your summer?
We are having very lazy and cozy time at mum's home, can't believe that we have been living without air-con at present, even though the temperature is very high enough!

By the way, I was going to post this last night, but I was too tired and fell asleep earlier than usual so here they are, here are stunning Biscornues from Miya!
I joined Japanese Biscornu Exchange this summer and Miya was my partner.
I 'm lucky enough to be her partner as you see these wonderful works of her!!

She told me in the e-mail that this orange one she made was too big than she thought, so she made another one for me, how kind of her!
She used over dyed threads for both Biscornues, how beautiful they are!!

This is stitched by one over one, ohh I can imagine how tough it was, but she told me it was fun to stitch as thinking of a partner!
It's stunning, I'm speechless!!

This photo is a backside of them! As same as the face side, they are so beautiful!!
She also added some lovely ornaments for me!
Thank you so much, Miya!

She also stitched my initial and made it into a tiny pincushion!
How lovely this is!

Thank you so much Miya for these wonderful presents and exchange!
I really appreciate for them and you!
She hasn't received mine yet, though I'm so blamed myself because my Biscornu is so poor...
I so hesitate, if it's possible I don't want her to receive mine, lol

Take care and have a lovely weekend!
I will edit some photos of today and will post them later!
Bye for now,

Private Exchange FOR Nina

Finally I could manage stitching and finishing Nina's Exchange, whew...

We had been talking about our private exchange since the last year, and she sent me wonderful exchange in April, but I couldn't make anything nice, I have never failed such many times before, then took time until send it out recently...

As you know, Nina is so talented and I've received wonderful works of hers first, so I was very hesitating to stitch and make something for her... you know what I mean?!
I was going to stitch sewing case by Lavender Lace, but there were so many specialty stitches, and also one over one, and I failed so many times, so I gave up!

Next time, I decided to stitch and make sewing sets by French designers, but the almost whole stitches were one over one, and I gave up again, as I can't do it...
Then decided to make this tin designed by LHN for her, but you know, again I made careless mistake on it, and so I decided to stitch one more piece...
I have never failed so many times like this time before!!
There must be BIG frog still on my shoulders!!

So here are two tins for her and for myself because I decided to complete mistaken one for myself.
I know Nina likes pink, but the design is based on light blue, so I added light blue flowery ribbon around the stitched pieces, and added pearl beads on four corners.
I also made a fob and pincushion for her.

Uhmmmm, it was too much, too fussy?
I was a bit worried about this, but I received a sweet mail from her, and she told me that she loves everything, so I'm so happy and feel relief now!

Here is mine, I will post how I failed and made mistake on hers and mine, though I added small ribbon charm on the mistaken spot to hide it.

This exchange had also another highlight, we exchanged our countries spices!
Her fiancee Tamas wants to try Japanese spices, so I sent her many of spices of our country and also instant miso soup, etc...!
I hope Tamas and Nina will love them!!

Thank you so much Nina for this lovely exchange!!

HoE Prairie Schooler Exchange FOR Karen

Got back to blogland! Finally from today I can use Internet at new home!
I'm totally behind from everything, blogging, e-mailing, etc...

My life is busy with unpacking and looking after my little son, but I think I will be able to settle down a bit in a few weeks.
Anyway, I've received a comment from Karen to let me know that she received HoE (Hooked on Exchange) Prairie Schooler Exchange from me safely!

I was quite worried because it took so much time to get to Australia from Japan, and as I worried it has stopped at Customs and they opened my parcel and had confiscated the tea bags I enclosed.
Why why?? They were just normal tea, though!
(I shouldn't have wrote down what I added in the parcel on the paper for Customs, I'm too honest, lol)
Moreover they checked my Pinkeep which I made for her, and untied the ribbon... it's sad, isn't it.
But I'm relieved that they didn't confiscate the Pinkeep either, and am happy to hear that she likes everything what I sent her!

Here is what I made for her with PS design.

I have several of PS charts, but as I felt that Karen has an elegant taste, I thought this design would be suit for her.
This is from A Prairie Garden (OOP chart), and I made it into a pinkeep.
One day, I want to stitch all the flowers on one piece, and want to frame it!

This photo is a bit over flashed, though it's more quiet in the real life.
Here is a photo of pins that I made with clay rose top.

And here is a photo of backing fabric.
This time I used marbled plain cloth for this pinkeep.

I'm very glad to hear that she likes this!
Thanks for lovely words for this Karen, I was enjoyed to stitch and make this for you!

Thank you so much everyone for many comments and Hugs for me in the last post.
I'm missing her so much, but c'est la vie...
Your words made me feel positive, thank you again!

Thank you so much for signing up for my PIF.
I have never though that such many people would sign up for my PIF.
I'd appreciate for you all.
I have been still taking sign up for my PIF member until this coming Sunday!
Please feel free to leave comment
on the last post, if you are interested in!

HoE Prairie Schooler Exchange FROM Chris C.

Yesterday I received a parcel from Chris C. for HoE Prairie Schooler Exchange!
It's always so thrilled to open the parcel, but it's more than that when I receive the parcel from who I know.

Here is beautiful flat fold that Chris made for me!
She chose the design "September" from Prairie Year II.

Very lovely, isn't it?!
Here is the backing fabric she chose for this, and her finishing is perfect!
I love red gingham fabric, too!

She also added beautiful cotton fabric, 40ct linen, some beautiful Vikki Clayton silk threads for me!
I love them all, really I do!

Thank you so much Chris for this wonderful exchange!
You made my day, indeed!

SBBC 2008 Gift FROM Kelly!

A few days ago, I received a lovely Birthday gift for the Stitching Bloggers Birthday Exchange from Kelly in the U.S.
I was so thrilled to open the parcel, and when I opened it I found beautiful and unique needle book and goodies!!

Here is the photo of them.

This photo is bit blurry, though it's wonderful IRL! (She has nice photos on her blog!)
I knew that this design is from Indigo Rose and she changed the thread colour from blue to pink as I love pink so much, from her post on her blog.
How sweet person she is!

She added three of JBW charts (I love them!), fine needles, and Altoids choco-mint (I love it, too!), and lovely message card!

As my English is poor, so I pinched her explanation regarding this needle book, she says that "Each leaf of the needle book has numbers to specify which needles are stored there and the center is a pincushion.
Then the whole thing folds up neatly into this little square.
Each leaf has button hole to button to the little tulip bead in the center".

Her presents are very wonderful but moreover what I'm impressed is that she remembered my Birthday!
Thank you so very much Kelly for your wonderful and thoughtful gift!
I'm so happy and you made my day, indeed!

Wonderful Birthday Gift FROM Joei!

On 10th of September, I received a wonderful Birthday gift from Joei in Singapore!
Since our Birthdays are in the same month, and hers is on the 15th and mine is on the 14th, we talked and decided to do Birthday pressie exchange this year!
As it's quite tough to choose the design and moreover how to finish off (on the other hand it's fun, though!), we decided to pick which of our finishes we want to receive from the other.

Then, I asked her this "Stitcher's Keeper"!
Please look at this her delicate stitch and perfect finishing!

She choose the design "My Little Quakers" (a chart for ruler pocket) by Milady's Needle.
Isn't this beautiful!?
I knew she will make me a "Stitcher's Keeper" but didn't know what design it would be, so when I saw it, it was full of surprising and I was so happy that I could have received this wonderful gift from her!

Here is the photo of inside the "Stitcher's Keeper".
Amazing, isn't it?!

She added so many goodies, too! Beautiful threads, cotton lace, beautiful purple scissors (I love it!), and small pinkeep!

Her finishing is perfect and her stitching is so delicate as usual!
She has done 1 over 1 for this design to fit to the Stitcher's Keeper!

The right photo is fabrics that she used for this Stitcher's Keeper.
I love this combination very much, so elegant!

Thank you SO much sweet Joei, I'm totally overwhelmed!!
My husband also commented that her work is perfect and just amazing!!

Joei has many of more beautiful photos of this on her blog, visit her blog here.

This will be treasured forever!
Thanks again Joei, and I'm appreciate for your sweet heart.

I hope mine wouldn't make you disappoint...

HoE LHN Exchange FROM Jennifer

I've received HoE LHN (Little House Needleworks) Exchange safely, from Jennifer!
I received the parcel just before we were going out, after I rocked the door key, so I had to be patient until I open the parcel from her...
Then when I've got home, I immediately opened the box and found SO lovely stuffs in there!

Here is what she has made for me!
This design was the one I really wanted to stitch, so I was so happy when I saw this beautiful pinkeep!!!
Now I don't need to stitch this pattern by myself, lol

She added DMC linen threads (pink shades), very lovely ribbon roll, quite unique but very pretty card buttons, too!
Everything were wrapped by pink paper, I was so touched by it, because she knew that I love pink, I think!

Here is some photos of details of this beautiful pinkeep!
She tied pink ribbon beautifully on top, and around the pinkeep, she used two colours of ribbons.

One is light pink (same as the top ribbon) and light green!
This combination is very beautiful and I love it!
She also stitched this pattern on very light green linen which is very beautiful!!

And! What I shouldn't forget to share is...
This back of pinkeep!

She added thread holder (rings?) and wee pocket, I think it is for scissors!
Very beautiful and a nice idea, isn't it!
And I also love the backing fabric which she has chosen for this LHN pattern!

Everythings perfectly done!
I think I'm very lucky one to became her partner!

Thank you so much, Jennifer!
I'm so happy that I could have this sweet pinkeep with me!
Now it's in the cupboard where cross stitch works are displayed!

I'd really appreciate for your kind heart and the time you took to work on this beautiful pinkeep!
Thanks again!
