PIF FOR Jennifer!

When I checked e-mail this morning as daily routine, I found an e-mail from Jennifer.
She let me know that she received my PIF (Pay It Forward) gift safely, and in the mail she is so sweet and am so happy that she liked everything that I sent to her!

Here is what I made for her PIF.

I didn't know what her tastes like exactly, so I stitched what I wanted to, and made it into an ornament.
The design is "Little Angel In The Clouds" © Heart In Hand, stitched on 32ct linen, by recommended DMC.

It was quite hard to find the right shape for this design, and it became like this at the end.
I added pom-pom trim around the edge, and added light pink ribbon at the bottom of ornament.
I also added velvet pink flower on top which I forgot to take close up photo.

Here is backing fabric I chose for this design.
I was a bit worried if this design might be a bit childish for her? but she told me she loves this so much, I'm very relieved now! whew...
I have two more PIFs to go (Margaret S. and Staci), and I also signed up for Dovile's PIF recently, so I will invite three person to join for my PIF "Part 2." later again!
I hope some people would be interested in joining for it. :0

I'm going to move again the end of September for my husband's job.
And the present house is very sick!! Where I live is placed near mountain and by the lake, so is very humid, and moreover our present house is very old so mold all around the house, sigh*...
That is why I'm very busy at the moment, no stitching at all again... just packing, packing, packing! ;0
I packed my stitching stuffs already to concentrate on moving!
I hope I will be able to share my stitching works with you soon!

Take care and thanks for visiting!
AND! Thank you SO much for all the Birthday wishes to me!
I appreciate for you all, thank you very very much from the bottom of my heart!

Birthday Present FOR Joei

I just received a lovely e-mail from Joei to let me know that she received my Birthday present safely today!

As I wrote before that since our Birthdays are in the same month, and hers is on the 15th and mine is on the 14th, we talked and decided to do Birthday pressie exchange this year!
As it's quite tough to choose the design and moreover how to finish off (on the other hand it's fun, though!), we decided to pick which of our finishes we want to receive from the other.

Then, she asked me this tote bag for her Birthday!

As I'm not good with a sewing machine at all, I was very worried when I heard that she wants this tote bag from me, lol
And as I worried, I had a hard time to finish this off, lol

I stitched her initial "J", and patched blue base fabrics and made it into a tote bag.
The size of this bag is just A4.
I also added crochet flower and lace tag at the side.

I also have this bag in pink version
here, and it's very useful to put stitch stuffs in and take it out to outside!

Anyway, it's a pity this Birthday present didn't reach her in time...
But I'm so glad that Joei loves this bag!
I hope she had a wonderful Birthday!

Sweet Present FROM Dear Friend S.

Just a day before my Birthday, I received another lovely Birthday gift from my dear friend S.
I was so thrilled to open the parcel from her as she is one of my favourite stitcher in Japan, and I always admire her sophisticated works!

Here are the photos of her present!

She stitched and made for me a sweet drawstring purse, and lavender scent sachet with blue ribbon designs.

She used wide lace for drawstring, it's very nice idea, isn't it!

And she also used linen tape for the tag at the side.

The backing fabric is very pretty as well!

She also used lace for the sachet, too.
How does she know that I love lavender scent very much?! :)

She stitched 1 over 1 for the word "Happy Birthday", it's so beautifully stitched!

Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart, dear S.
You always make me happy with your wonderful works!

I'm very looking forward to seeing you soon again!

Thank you so much for friends leaving me so many Birthday wishes comments!
They make me so happy and feel so special!
I really appreciate for your sweet hearts!

Happy Birthday 2008!

Today I turned Thirty-something years old.
Time flies so fast!! Where my last year has gone to?

This year's birthday, I spent very normal, not special time with my family.
It was just normal, but I felt very happy to be with them.

Oh I shouldn't forget that my little son sang the Birthday song for me, that was so sweet!!

Here are today's photo.

We bought some short cakes for my Birthday, as I don't like fresh cream much, they are fruit tart and cheese cakes!

And I want to thank for my friends who sent me e-cards, e-mails, and gifts!
I'd really appreciate for them!!!

Friends are special!

SBBC 2008 Gift FROM Kelly!

A few days ago, I received a lovely Birthday gift for the Stitching Bloggers Birthday Exchange from Kelly in the U.S.
I was so thrilled to open the parcel, and when I opened it I found beautiful and unique needle book and goodies!!

Here is the photo of them.

This photo is bit blurry, though it's wonderful IRL! (She has nice photos on her blog!)
I knew that this design is from Indigo Rose and she changed the thread colour from blue to pink as I love pink so much, from her post on her blog.
How sweet person she is!

She added three of JBW charts (I love them!), fine needles, and Altoids choco-mint (I love it, too!), and lovely message card!

As my English is poor, so I pinched her explanation regarding this needle book, she says that "Each leaf of the needle book has numbers to specify which needles are stored there and the center is a pincushion.
Then the whole thing folds up neatly into this little square.
Each leaf has button hole to button to the little tulip bead in the center".

Her presents are very wonderful but moreover what I'm impressed is that she remembered my Birthday!
Thank you so very much Kelly for your wonderful and thoughtful gift!
I'm so happy and you made my day, indeed!

Wonderful Birthday Gift FROM Joei!

On 10th of September, I received a wonderful Birthday gift from Joei in Singapore!
Since our Birthdays are in the same month, and hers is on the 15th and mine is on the 14th, we talked and decided to do Birthday pressie exchange this year!
As it's quite tough to choose the design and moreover how to finish off (on the other hand it's fun, though!), we decided to pick which of our finishes we want to receive from the other.

Then, I asked her this "Stitcher's Keeper"!
Please look at this her delicate stitch and perfect finishing!

She choose the design "My Little Quakers" (a chart for ruler pocket) by Milady's Needle.
Isn't this beautiful!?
I knew she will make me a "Stitcher's Keeper" but didn't know what design it would be, so when I saw it, it was full of surprising and I was so happy that I could have received this wonderful gift from her!

Here is the photo of inside the "Stitcher's Keeper".
Amazing, isn't it?!

She added so many goodies, too! Beautiful threads, cotton lace, beautiful purple scissors (I love it!), and small pinkeep!

Her finishing is perfect and her stitching is so delicate as usual!
She has done 1 over 1 for this design to fit to the Stitcher's Keeper!

The right photo is fabrics that she used for this Stitcher's Keeper.
I love this combination very much, so elegant!

Thank you SO much sweet Joei, I'm totally overwhelmed!!
My husband also commented that her work is perfect and just amazing!!

Joei has many of more beautiful photos of this on her blog, visit her blog here.

This will be treasured forever!
Thanks again Joei, and I'm appreciate for your sweet heart.

I hope mine wouldn't make you disappoint...

Wonderful Gift FROM Arcadia!

It's been more than a week since the last time I posted!
Since my Internet connection was too weak and bad, I couldn't be online at all these few days...

Anyway, thank you so much everyone for lovely comments to my "Sunflower House", I've got 50 comments for the last post, I'm so surprised and I'd really appreciate for your warm hearts!

About a week ago, I've received a BIG parcel (I've never got that big box before!) from Arcadia from France!
It was like Christmas in August! Look at these wonderful presents she has sent me!!

Here are two pretty Tilda dolls that she made!!
I was truly overwhelmed that she sent me a pair of beautiful dolls, I'm sure she took much time and efforts to make such a lovely dolls, I was so touched by her generosity!!

Here are some close up photos of them.
They are so lovely, aren't they?!
My husband knows that I love Tilda dolls but also knows that I'm not good at sewing, so he was also surprised and touched by them.

And here is her handmade crochet bag for me!
I thought that she bought this for me because this is so beautifully made, but this is her crochet work! Unbelievable!
What a talented lady she is, she does also cross stitch, too!

Here are close up photos of the bag!
She added lovely accessories, too!

And here are many goodies!
Linens, French cross stitch kit, lace, Sajou's bobbins, initial tape, etc...

Also cross stitch chart, friendship magnets, memo pad and lovely message card from her!

And she also added so many toy cars for my little son!!
He was extremely excited seeing them, he has been playing with them everyday and has been sleeping with some of them!
We can't get much foreign toy cars in Japan, like Renault, Peugeot, Ford, Rover, Volks Wagen, Citroen, etc... he is SO happy as well as I am!
He soon learnt these car names, and tells me what car he has with him!
He also loves Mini which Carol has presented him before, and he knows who gave Mini to him is, so when he saw or play with Mini, he always talk about Carol (he calls, Aunt Carol!)!

Anyways, Thank you SO SO much Arcadia for your wonderful gift, I'm SO happy and was overwhelmed very much!
I don't know how I can tell you how much I was impressed by your thoughtful presents.
Thank you again sweet Arcadia, and sorry that I couldn't post this just soon after I received your parcel.

As for my stitching, I still have been resting and have been visiting a dentist, yet no stitching at all...
But I definitely will stitch little by little, because I'm a participant in HoE PS Exchange group (deadline : 20th of Sep.), and I have some BD gifts to make!!

I hope I will be able to show something about cross stitch soon!
Until then, take care and Happy Stitching!

Sunflower House - Framed

Yesterday we went out for shopping, as my husband told me that he found a big craft shop where there is also a frame shop, when he went to a customer near there.
He was day off yesterday so I asked him to take me there! I was so thrilled to visit there!!

We were going to order a frame for "Sunflower House" (BBD Loose Feathers #09), but I found reasonable one!
There were so many frames and we were irresolute between gold and wooden frames, which is the best for "Sunflower House".
Then in the end we decided to choose dark brown wooden frame! Here it is!

How is this? I'm quite satisfied how this turned out, I think it's beautiful in this frame!
I hope you like this as well as I do!

Here is the close up photo of the frame.

After we shopped at a craft shop, we went to big shopping mall near by and we met an Olympic medalist (Athens : Gold, Beijing : Silver) of JUDO at Starbucks!
She was with her friend who is also the world games champion, as they sat near by, my husband asked them to take a photo with our little son stealthily.
My son was a bit shy, but they were so nice and they had big smile in the photo!
This would be a great memory for my son, as he loves to watch sports games on TV.

Anyway, thank you so much again for get well soon wishes.
Today I felt better than a past few weeks, although yet no stitching...
On Thursday I have an appointment with a dentist, so I hope I can stitch as soon as possible!
Hopefully I can stitch at least few lines tomorrow!

Take care everyone, and Happy Stitching!

Miserable Month...

Thank you so much for lovely comments and I'd really appreciate for get well soon wishes from you all.
And thank friends for your e-mails caring about me as I wasn't be able to post here for a week...

Actually I still haven't been doing well, I have been visiting dentist but still have been suffering from a bit of toothache and terrible stiff neck because of cavity.
My dentist suggested me that he doesn't pull my bad teeth out at the moment because I'm still young, but if there was no way to treat as it's too bad, then he will pull it out.
I agreed with his opinion and so I have to keep visiting him to be treated for a while...

I also have been suffering from a bit of headache, maybe cause of terrible stiff neck.
And yet another miserable accident was happened yesterday morning when my son asked me to pass him a piece of tissue just after I woke up, I have gotten a crick in my neck when I took tissue box as I was lying down...

All these pains make me feeling very miserable... lol
What a terrible month! Whew...
I have so many things to do, have to struggle to make friends' Birthday presents, birth samplers, exchange pieces, etc... though!
I do really hope that I can stitch as soon as I can!

By the way, these photos are homemade donuts that I made for my son.
It rarely happens that I make sweets, so I took photos of it, lol

My son and I were hungry, but there was no sweets in stock, so I made it, but it was very yum against my expectation!
As my husband was also liked it so much, I will make some again!

Well, I hope I can post photos something about cross stitch soon!

Take care and until then, Happy Stitching!

Sunflower House - Finished!

Thank you so much for get well soon wishes, I'm glad that you care about me.
I have to visit the dentist tomorrow, and probably he will pull my bad teeth out...

Anyway, finally I finished "Sunflower House" © Blackbird Designs - Loose Feathers #09, last night!
I'm so happy that I could finish it before the end of this month!
Here are some photos to share...

I added the year 2008 and my initials.
I love how this turned out so much, I think this design is very beautiful, don't you think?

This is the first time for me to complete the design by Blackbird Designs, and I realized how fun to stitch their designs is!
As I have many designs of Blackbird Designs which is kitted up, I really want to stitch their designs so much now, although I have so many WIPs!
I was going to be patient to start new design until I finish my WIPs, but I remembered the word "Do whatever you like when you want to do" which is from my friend and so I may pick and start one !
I will decide what I stitch next from my BBD stash file!

I heard that Wendy also will finish this piece soon, so I'm looking forward to seeing her completed piece!! It must be very beautiful, indeed!

Until I post next time, take care and happy stitching!

The end of summer...

Hi, everyone! Thank you so much for lovely comments and get well wishes!
I'd appreciate for them all, I always love to read all the comments!

As for my toothache, thanks to the medicine that the dentist gave me, it is getting better now!
But as I still have been suffering from stiff neck, I haven't been stitching at all, more than 2 weeks doing nothing is the first time for me, since I have started stitching!
Instead of doing nothing, I have been watching Olympic games everyday, and have been playing with my son a lot!

I hope the dentist will be able to fix my bad tooth next week when I visit him...
I want to do stitch soon!!!

By the way, today is the anniversary of the end of the war.
This song from Naotaro Moriyama is an antiwar song... ("Natsu no Owari" = The end of summer)

"Natsu no Owari" by Naotaro Moriyama

In the lyrics the word "war" isn't used at all, but this song is about a girl has been keep waiting for a boyfriend to come back from the war.
I think this is very beautiful song.

Take care everyone,

Happy stitching!
