Funnily enough, this is what my neighborhood looks like. There must have been a fashion for Japanese maples in the 1950s when it was built because everyone has at least one!

What is it about nature (especially「秋」. Is that the correct use of those brackets? Like quotation marks in English?) that makes it so 懐かしい？ I have never been to Japan, but still.
Well, autumn is already like that anywhere, I think. But I don't think that "nostalgia", the word we use to render it in english, expresses it as well.
