Sweet Little Berries & Give it away!

I was working on Little House Needlework's "Sweet Little Berries" from last week, and today finally I finished it.
It was a Kit which I've won at auction a long time ago, and I totally have forgotten that I had this in my stash.
As I like LHN / CCN very much, I had been wanting to stitch LHN / CCN, but somehow I didn't have a chance to stitch their designs at all, so I'm so glad to finished this very much!

Just after I finished stitching, I found a frame in my (frame) stash box, and framed it.
Here it is! I'm glad how it turns out.

Anyway, do you put glass in when you frame stitched piece???
This time I put glass in the frame, but I still don't know which way is better for stitched piece.
Glass or no glass?

When I won this Kit at auction, the owner wrote that this is a very rare Kit as this is the LHN's first chart...
And also there is a line, it is said "Little House Complimentary Chart No. One", and also is wrote it's a free pattern...
As I'm weak at English, I don't know exact mean, but, I think it's rare design...

As I won't stitch the same design again, I'm going to give this away (chart only) to someone who is really interested in this chart and want to stitch!
If you are interested in it, please just leave a comment to this post!
If there are many people who want this chart, I will do draw lots and choose one person!
Let's enjoy together and have fun!

The deadline is... 16th (Sunday) of March, (Japanese time...)!

I've already stitched this, so I don't need the chart but I wanted to say congratulations on your finish and how pretty it looks :)

It turned out lovely, Yuko! As for the glass, I've never used it but I know some people do, especially if the piece will be displayed in an area like the kitchen. I think there is a non-glare type glass you can use so there is less of a reflection.

Please enter me in your drawing! Like so many others, I love LHN!

Hi, Yuko, this is my first comment on your blog. What a lovely finish! I've been looking for this chart for ages. (As have a thousand other stitchers!)

I do not use glass for my stitched pieces. That way I can see the textures better. :)

Please enter me in your drawing. Thank you!

What a pretty finish. I usually put glass on my pieces, I live in a place that is very arid, lots of dust.

I would love the chart, it's so cute.

Beautiful finish Yuko.Seeing yours makes me want to get mine out and stitch it. As I already have it I won't enter your contest:)

Hi Yuko! Your work looks so charming and delicate! Congratulations on the nice finish! I also like LHN designs so please enter me, too.
As for the glass, the works that are precious to me I had professionally framed with mats. It is usually recommended to have a glass if you put a mat - it sits better, I used non-glare glass and it looks great. Some works which I framed myself have glass, some not. But in this case sooner or later you will have to clean the stitched piece or it will look a little "tired" which is also good sometimes.
Have a nice weekend.

Yuko, I just LOVE this design, please enter my name for the drawing :)
I always have my work framed with glass, simply because with a cat and a doggie, there's lot of hair flying in the air and also, I live in the center of a big city with lots of dust... and I want to protect my work :) Especially silks and overdyes which can't be washed like DMC...

I love LHN and CCN so yes, I would like to be entered in the drawing.

I have always put a glass on the framed pieces. I think I'm a bit strange 'cause I don't like the non-glare glass at all so I always use the "regular" glass. :)

I don't usually put glass on my framed pieces, but my understanding is that if you want to put glass in the frame, either use a mat or spacers to keep the glass from sitting on the fabric. This is especially helpful if you live in a humid area. I'm no professional in this matter, so it could be I'm mistaken in this. Hugs to you, Yuko!

Von is correct: you don't want glass touching your stitched piece. Either use a mat or spacers to prevent this. You can also use plexiglass, and it's fine to have it touch your stitching.
Oh, and I'd love to be in the drawing . . .

You have done a very beautiful job of stitching, as always! And your framing is lovely. Yes, I always use glass on my framed needlework to protect it against dust in the air.

Please enter my name in your drawing!

Yuko,
It's beautiful! I already have this stitched and framed and it's one of my favorites from LHN. I did use glass and spacers.

Wonderful finish! I like it very much. I put glass on every framed piece and the professionals do so. The idea is that the glass keeps your work from damaging or getting dirty.

Yuko, your finishes and photos are so pretty! I've tagged/recognized you for all the beautiful work you do!

Another lovely finish Yuko!

I always frame stitched piece with glass, either ordinary glass or non-glare glass, both ok for me. I also always have mat so the stitched piece is not touching the glass. It's very humid here so it's better to have it framed that way.

Unless a piece has a lot of embelishments (buttons, etc) that won't fit under glass, I always frame my pieces with glass.

I would love to be included in the drawing for the LHN chart. I've become hooked on her designs in the past 9 months, and want them all!

Hi Yuko...
This is the first time I write a omment on your blog. I visit your blog and many others daily and really enjoy them. I'd love to enter your draw, both because I love LHN and because in Argentina, where I live, it's very difficult to get designs this gorgeous.
Thank you for your generosity.

wow...Yuko, this is beautifully stitched! And it matches with the brownish frame so well.

I usually will frame my work with glass unless i uses lace, buttons, charms which i think stands out better without the glass.

Hi Yuko, as usual another beautiful piece of work. You have framed it in the perfect frame. I always frame my work with glass and either mats or spacers. I like glass over non reflecting glass as I did a sampler years ago that had the most beautiful colours in it. When I received it back from the framers you couldn't see how beautiful the colours were as the non relecting glass had made the work look like it had been dipped in tea. Its an alphabet flower sampler and I might put a photo of it on my blog the next time I do it.
I'm glad that you liked my needleroll. I gave it to my friend Karen yesterday as an early birthday present. It made her day.
If its not to late could you please enter me in your drawing for the LHN chart. - Till next time - Sandra.

Since it can get humid and dusty here in Malaysia I always frame with glass, either reflective or non-reflective.

Pleas enter my name in your draw, it's a lovely chart :)
