Birthday Present FOR Nancy!

Hi, I've received a sweet e-mail from Nancy that my Birthday Present for her has arrived safely to her!
And fortunately, it has arrived on her Birthday!!
Happy Birthday dear Nancy!

This is what I made for her Birthday, when I saw this design, Nancy's face came into my mind, and so I decided to stitch this for her Birthday!
I stitched this and made it into a basket lid.

I had a nice white painted basket in my stash, so I checked stitch count, it was perfect, so I added stitched piece to this basket!
And added organza lace around the edge, it's quite neat and clean, isn't it?

Here is back of the lid and inside.
When I think about Nancy, always dark red comes into my mind, and so this was stitched red and white, so I used this dark red rosy fabric for the back of lid.
And I added my favourite SAKURANBO (cherry) tea from Lupicia in it!

I also added beads on the stitched piece, but I was hurry to send it out, so forgot to take close up photos...
I'm so happy that Nancy told me that she loves this and another goodies that I added, too.
I hope you had a wonderful dinner with your family, Nancy!

Take care and thanks for your visit!

Happy Stitching!

PIF (Pay It Forward) FOR Elisa

I can't believe, it's the last day of the year tomorrow!!
In Japan we clean the whole house at the end of the year, but this year I didn't do anything...
I was just mentally and physically tired (is this just excuse?? lol), I haven't been able to stitch much nowadays.

By the way, I heard that the Elisa has received the PIF gift safely, so I can share some photos what I made for her.
I was quite not sure what her tastes are, but light blue flashed into my mind when I thought about Elisa, so I bought a bit antique blue basket and stitched an angel in blue.

And I trimmed the basket lid and the stitched piece with shinny light blue gathered lace.

The back of the lid is also covered the same fabric that I used for the front.

I red that Elisa liked this and some goodies that I sent her, so I now feel relieved!!
3 PIFs done and 3 more PIFs to go!
I should tidy up my stitching stuffs soon, and have to try to concentrate on making 3 more PIF gifts!!

I decided to visit my PIL on the new years day with my husband and son, but I asked my husband not to stay there long time... otherwise I will get sick, mentally!!
I should visit shrine near by to buy a talisman before I visit them!!

Please fingers crossed for me!
And have a Happy new year, everyone!!

Thanks for visiting, and let's talk soon in 2009!

Small Gift FOR Angela

Thank you everyone for leaving me warm comments, always.
I'd really appreciate for them, indeed!

Today I share another basket lid which I've made for my dear friend Angela.
I have made the same style of basket lid before, though I knew that Angela liked this very much and she LOVES pink (so do I), I have made the same style for her.
(The stitched piece is different from the last one...)

Actually I wanted to send this for her Birthday in Feb. (too late!!), but I wanted to add and make something special for her, but to make it, I needed to sew by sewing machine...
That is what made me lose my nerve and finally I couldn't sent it to her...
I'm so sorry Angela, next time when I pull out sewing machine, I will make one for you!

Here is the inside of the basket.
I used the same fabric as the front, and added pom-pom trim around the edge.
My mum also liked this basket lid, so when she has came here to see us, she has made the same one (but the stitching piece was different...) with me!

As I know that Angela loves pink so much, this time I made a "pink box" for her!
Everything were pink, I added pink ribbons, pink trims and braids, pink fabrics, pink buttons etc... etc...
And I wrapped the box with pink paper!

I've heard that she has received my parcel safely and she loved everything that I've sent her, so I felt very relief and was so happy to heard of it!

By the way, recently I've received lots of e-mails from my old friends and they all are now pregnant!!! OH my! What's going on!
Just 2 months ago, also my old friend (one of the member of our group) have just gave birth to a baby girl, and I promised to stitch something for a sweet baby girl!

BUT! now around me, there are totally five (besides they all are my dear friends!) friends are pregnant!!
Do I need to stitch for all of them, lol?
I should be an "Asura", I need 5 more pairs of hands, otherwise I can't manage everything!!

So I will stop to join in any exchanges for a while after June (except private exchanges or SALs)...
I hope I can present something even small for them to celebrate their new born babies!

By the way, here it is, my grass dog!
I knew that lots of people are looking forward to seeing his photo from their comments, so they might be laughing at him by now! LOL
My little son is also looking forward to seeing him every day, and he is very excited and after that laughing at him!

His hair grow so fast, don't you think?
This photo was taken on 25th, so now his hair is more longer than this photo!! lol
I think I will be able to tie his hair up with ribbon soon, lol

What kind of hair style would you like want me to do for him?
Any requests??
At the moment, I have no idea what to do next, so please give me some ideas of his hair style! :D

"The Perfume" - Small Finish

While I have been working on unpacking and tidying up my new house (I've just moved), I haven't been able to stitch much like before, so just at night after my son has slept, I have been stitching a little by little, until I settle down I have to be patient a bit...

So, today I share my small finish that I have done yesterday!
Do you remember that I had shown it off as a Christmas present from my Aussie friend Fiona?
This is a DMC small kit and I thought I can't mess around more than now, I've chosen this small one!

After I finished stitching, I was thinking how to finish this... and I realized that I have a beautiful fabric just perfect for this stitched piece, and found PINK basket at the shop near my place, so decided to make a basket lid!

Fortunately the colours of this stitch, flowery fabric, and pom-pom trim are match so well together, and also a basket!

I used Aida which was in the kit, so was a bit difficult to make a beautiful circle shape, but the process of making a lid was so much fun!

I'm quite satisfied of this result, I think the result turned out so beautiful, especially the colour matching, it's very lovely than I expected!!

Here is a photo of inside the basket, I also used the same fabric for the back of lid.

I'm so glad that I could finish this earlier than I thought, because I really wanted to stitch this as this kit is from my dear friend!
On the same day I've finished this basket, I've received a photo of us (Fiona + my son and I) from her!
Now I'm going to e-mail to let her know that I finished this "The Perfume"!
I hope she will be happy to see what I've done with her present!

By the way, dear friends and visitors who left me warm comments...
I'm so sorry for keep you waiting...
I haven't been able to reply to your e-mails at all, actually it quite takes time for me to write in English, so please wait for me to write you back! :D
