When I was a high school student, there was a theme to make something for memory of graduate.
I was very busy as a member of a basketball team, but I choose "Patchwork (Quilt?)" as my theme.
My mum is a multi talented lady for handcrafts, so she told me how to make, and I remember that we enjoyed to make this tapestry together (mainly I had to make, of course!)I was suffering from terrible stiff neck from when I was young, so it was quite tough for me to sew and make such a large piece, but it was fun!
My mum is still displaying this tapestry in her room, she just loves this because she remember of the time when I worked so hard.Unfortunately, I totally forgot how to do Patchwork, and I remember it was quite tough for a person who has been suffering from stiff neck like me, so this is the first one also the last work of my Patchwork...
And I was very curious about handcraft from when I was a child, and when I was about 18, a book caught my eyes at book shop. It's Tole Paint (I don't exactly know how to say this kind of work in English, though...).This design was shown on the cover of that book and I fell in love, then bought some materials soon and tried it, as I knew luckily I had unpainted wooden tissue box at home!
This is also still placed in mum's room, it got a bit dirty, but I'm glad that she is still using this.I know this would look quite amateur's work from people who loves tole paints, though isn't it quite good as a first attempt of 18 years old girl??? :D
Unfortunately this didn't attract the interest of mine longer, so this is also my first and the last tole paint work...Now I'm so happy that I could meet "Cross Stitch" as a hobby that I will continue for a long long time in my life!!
Sorry, I have no photo of my cross stitching work to share, so have been talking something else these few months...
But thank you so much for your visit and your comments!
And I really appreciate for everyone, thank you so much for sending me lots of prayers, hugs, wishes, they give me courage.
I have been trying to think positive until I hear the result of my tests.
Thank you everyone, from the bottom of my heart...
